Default Brake fluid flush

Picked up a 2020 Stingray and was doing maintenance, part of which was a brake flush. Did it like I always did only to find out that was a no no. Since it's brake by wire did not realize you had to disconnect battery and do a different procedure. Now I have check engine light, taction control light and message telling me brake problem and do not drive more than 62 MPH get breaks serviced. When I step on brake it also makes a clicking sound? 1-did I really mess anything up? 2. Is there a way to fix it DIY? 3. Is this a dealer only proposition and do you know is it going to be big $$$? Any info appreciated. Thanks.

There is a procedure to reset it but I don't know it off the top of my head. Something like pressing and holding the pedal hard for 30 seconds while in service mode. Hopefully someone will chime in with the procedure.

Edit: Here's a link to the procedure:

Many of these cars need a scan tool for procedures like brake flush and now a CEL ....local garage ,dealer or take a chance with u tube then order all the factory repair manuals if you are going to keep working on it in the future .

This.... don't give up after the first try. One our forum members needed to do it close to 15 times to clear the code. It should work however unless there's a leak in the system. Make certain the bleeders are snugged but don't over do it.

people do this all the time on my boating forum, I blame it in the way people communicate on face book as they tend to just jump on the first train kil

Thank you so much. That worked. Only thing I have is to clear check engine light if it doesn't clear itself driving around. Advanced auto will do it. Thanks again!

you might want to research scan tools and buy one if you are going to do work like that some activate the ABS pumps so you can really flush the system

You might also want to get access to the Service Manual for future work if you plan to do your own work. Lots of things are "different".
