Default HFC/Test Pipe Cell Poll

Title says it mostly. I am a visual learner so figured a poll would be good for us to reference.

I know there are several threads about cats and all pretty similar BUT I feel like many times you only hear the bad feedback when people have problems and those with limited issues don't search for it out on the forum.

When I say CEL I mean one that pops up that can be cleared every few hundred miles vs limited or no CEL at all.

It seems regardless of HFC or Test Pipes you need a combination of O2 extenders, Mini Cats, OEM gaskets to reduce chances of CEL. Heat blankets or Cryo Coating are also smart adds. It is obvious to say the 400/600 cell HFC will have less issues than a 200 cell or Test Pipe.

For those who have them any tips, tricks, or combo of what worked for you would be appreciated.

I have Stainless Works HFC's going on soon with the above mitigating parts as well. Willing to have the occasion CEL but shooting for limited/no issues.

One other help for the future is listing labor hours your shop charged if you didn’t do it yourself.

The shop got all the parts but the 2M Fabrications Blankets and O2 Spacers I had ordered.

The blankets looks pretty solid quality for under $300 shipped. The stitching is pretty uniform and the hardware is very secure in the blanket. I am sure next to ones that cost 2x there are some differences in quality but this isn't a top of the line build.

Car goes in Sept 15th for the Stainless Works HFC.

Cats go on monday, will find out how this setup sounds and if there will be CEL.

Pretty confident it will work.

I will upload a video when complete.

Cats went on the car no problem. 2M blankets fit just fine.

Did not install the O2 spacers since no CEL. Have them if one throws but drove back 300 miles and did a few pulls and a launch.

Sound clips below.
