just disconnect the battery, its a proven safe method
That wasn't the question. A scan took like foxwell nt710 has a disable brake boost function. I asked has anyone tried that rather than disconnecting the battery. You can then also use the scan took to flush the abs pump, and put the parking brake into service mode, amongst other things.
Not sure I would trust a scan tool to disable the brake boost when it's so easy to just disconnect the battery (and yeah, I know that wasn't the question).

Why are you trying to complicate this? The c8 is one of the easiest cars to change brakes on. Disconnect the battery, pull the pins, (you DO NOT have to remove the calipers). Clean things up, put in new pads. If you want to bleed the brakes the best method is the oldest method. Pump the pedal and have a second person open the bleeders. If the fluid come out clear, bubble free, 4 rounds per bleeder and you are done. If you are trying to change out all your fluid, the c8 gravity bleeds quite nicely.
I run my car HARD on the track, a lot, and have never had a fluid problem. Use Castrol SRF dot4.
Why does it matter to you so much what the OP wants to do? There's nothing wrong with what they asked, and it is the method that the dealership is instructed to use. It's a one person job this way (as is using a pressure pump, which is my typical method) vs. the "old school way".
If you'd prefer not to assist, just pass on by and roll your eyes or shout at the clouds as you see fit. There's really no reason to carry on here. It's a choice to be kind and helpful, just as it is a choice to tell others to do something else.

If they did use the function and everything went right would that mean it worked? Some people have changed their brake pads without disconnecting the battery and didn't have any problems. But some people have also had problems.

Thanks for video Rich. It addresses the fluid change in the abs module. From most of the other responses, it would appear they don't have a diagnostic service and scan tool, and are trying to be helpful by sharing what they only know, so I won't press it. Turns out I don't need to disconnect the battery if I disable the brake boost in the diagnostic service function. In fact there is a whole bunch of things I can do now through this tool.
Rich, direct message me if you want to share additional tips.
Have any of you gone with that one carbon disk/pad brake set for the C8?? I was watching a youtube video where a guy shows you how to change your C8 brakes using this package and, normally, I don't think i'd be confident enough to tackle that type of challenge with no actual practical experience doing so, but the video really made it look doable. The amount of brake dust I get on my wheels from -minimal- use of my C8 compels me to consider making the change soon. I'd feel better about it if I heard others saying they've done it and are happy with the results.
