In the process of buying a new vette. Choice of a new 2026, or in the showroom 2025 eRay, vert. Big discount on the 2025. Question is , how big is the risk of the 2025 having the front electric motor seal fail. I know it would be covered under warranty, but I have a big problem with a new car being dismantled to change the seal??? I've got about 24hrs to decide, as I have already order the 2026 but dealer has now offered the 2025 for a lot less. The 2025 is a late 2025 production vehicle.

There's nothing different between 2025 and 2026 on the ER, except the interior. At least, I have not heard of it.

I've also never heard of "motor seal fail". Actuators going bad, yes. But that's a warranty fix.

Was report on this forum, I think in another section. It included a pic of the seal that was definitely defective. Thickness was not uniform, if I remember correctly.
