Never done it. Looking at the procedure it looks fairly simple. Remove the "under body rear air deflector". That's just the belly pan. You can just cut the belt to remove the old one. The procedure shows the use of a tool to install the new belt, called a "stretchy belt installer". Then you rotate the crankshaft balancer with a wrench. "When the Stretchy Belt Installer(2). contacts the oil tank, the air conditioning compressor belt(1) will be installed on the air conditioning compressor pulley(3)." So it says. I have not done this.

I've done it when installing the V09 radiator (needed to remove the AC compressor for access). There's a stud with a nut on it (check out this thread and pics: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...n-install.html). There's a torx head on the stud. I removed it to allow the compressor to be moved out of the way (after removing the other two mounting bolts). Reversed process. Patience is key.

Thanks! ...any clue on where to buy Stretchy Belt Installer?, or part number. ? I bought a generic gm one off AZ, but looks completely different & looks like no clearance to fit.

thanks, have some time tomorrow, so gonna try the zip tie method. If it doesn't work, then will look into that to order the real tool.
have a great day!

can confirm the zip ties worked. Cover the AC pully full, start belt as far as possible around bottom of crank pully. I used 2 zip ties medium sized through crank pully slots and around belt at section that was barely full on pully. Keep the zip tie connector nub on the front when tightening (no room forvit to travel around back). Use 24mm ratcheting breaker bar on crank bolt clockwise to feed further up pully. When the belt starts to come out of ac pully center, backoff ccw a little until it's seated again & push zipties over most seated crank belt. A couple back and forth & both stay on. Then when you rotate crank more, the zip ties break off (reason I used medium size as no room to get in there to cut off). Worst case could have been stretching it on & it stayed off center , then I would have just cut the belt & tried again (they are cheap). Luckily worked first time. I'm sure the tool method is superior, but hopefully it's my last AC belt. No clue how it frayed already at 9K miles.
