Does anyone know how they handle Z06 allocation once it is announced? I know there is a lot of speculation on the release date. Rumors of a summer of 2021 announce date. Is it separate from the regular corvette allocations dealer receives each month or is it part of the total allocation for that month? Is there a a limit on the total number of z06 allocation for the dealer and model year?
This car is going to be "hotter than hot" - because frankly, I don't think GM will be able to legally produce it for more than 2-3 model years once the new climate rules hit the auto sector. Once people come to understand that, whatever waiting lists there are for this car are going to fill up even faster.
Finally got my 2020 c8 conv at #3800 and decided to put the $2000 dep on the Z06 from MacMulkin
Does anyone know after the allocation #3800 , how long will I receive it .From Mass
I am 317 at MacMulkins, have absolutely no idea when it will be built
That's funny, I'm at 310, but I want an early build 2023 when hopefully most of the bugs have been worked out. Hoping it gets a smaller displacement TT rather than the 5.5 with the flat plane crank.
I dont think anyone who has replied yet actually read the question in the first post...
I wish I had the answer, but I do not know how the allocations are handled for Z06's. Hopefully someone comes along and answers the question soon though. I'm kind of curious as well.
My dealer told me that Z06 allocations are given to the dealer as a percentage of last year's total Vette sales by that dealer. I do not know if different dealers get different percentages.

It is my understanding, & I certainly could have been mis-informed, but this is what I was told by dealers that I bought my C7 Z51, C7 Z06, & C7 ZR1 from.
Sales of Stingrays equals allocations for Z06's, and sales of Z06's equals allocations for ZR1's. Seems logical.......

I hope you are correct as that will allow for a lot of Z06 allocations.

Let me clarify, I made it sound like the sales equals 1 for 1 on allocations, certainly not the case, #'s of unit sales has some funky Chevy formula plug in to it in order to spit out a random percentage of allocations that the dealer receives.
something like that.... I think.... maybe.... IDFK
I think if past history has any bearing on the C8 Z06 build quantity if so approximately 30% will be built if GM produces 30k C8 in total.
I would not be surprised at all if GM did not try to hold the pricing down to past Z06 levels as I think they have more than met those buyers who expect one generation to follow prior generation prices.
The accomplished that with the C8 Stingray . I would not be surprised to see price in the 89k range to start or a 10k bump over C7 Z06 Generation price point.
I am sure with options we will see C8 Z06 beyond 120k range when fully loaded.
My 14 Z51 3lt with every option coupe was 74k and my 2020 z51 3lt HTC was 95k so there was a big increase in cost of options.
My 2016 Z06 Z07 was 110k before the Callaway sc757 package was added to the cost. So about 130k for the 2016.
I can see C8 Z06 Z07 hitting well into 120k range and I believe it would still represent the most incredible value offered by any sport car manufacturer.
Hoping for a 5.5 with flat plan crank and in the 625hp range 9k red line. That would truly be an American made Ferrari.
My 2015 458 with exhaust system is right at 600 hp with 4.5 liters so I thing Gm can easily get 25 to 50 more Hp out of the new Z06 DOHC.
I can't wait to place my order.
In the interim the C8 HTC is just a great GT car and lots of fun..
Most car for the dollar i ha e ever purchased. Close to 458 level of interior quality and performance for 200k less.
