I bought a C5Z yesterday because I was so sick of the waiting and lack of news on pricing and dates (didn't currently have a sports car). But, I was also considering just saying screw it and looked real hard at some F430s and R8s. I can't reasonably afford TWO $130k sports cars at once and didn't want to regret getting an F430 a week before pricing came out at $90k and my dealer saying looks like they can get me a build date by the fall, then the F430 blowing a transmission... worst case scenario but I would be in deep doo doo at that point as I am a married man! I can easily afford to keep the C5Z and still buy the C8Z when it's my turn (even if it was now), so that is what I did.

But I definitely identify with people getting tired of this getting dragged out and considering other options.

YOU GUYS should STOP bitching about waiting and leadtimes for the C8 Z06. We are very very fortunate with short leadtimes for such a revolutionary Ferrari state of then art engine in the Z06

CHEVY could have taken the LAZY risk avoidance cost effective approach as they have DONE for 40 years and simply slapped on a roots driven blower on a pushrod 2 valve engine like Mopar and or previous vettes and obtained 700 to 800hp. Car would have been fast but heavy and been a PIG with Same O Same O —- 2 valve engine sound. Could have sold 1000s of cars as usual. Tadge and his team had vision and went for something special.

CHEVY stepped up designed engineered finally a MID ENGINE super car with a real SUPER engine. TALK about waiting …..you VETTE guys don’t know what waiting is………Porsche faithful have been 18 years until Porsche AG finally slapped a GT3 engine into their best handling sports car and made the outrageous Cayman GT4 RS. Porsche could have installed a Twin Turbo engine and made a lot more power—- but it would not sound bad-***. C8Z06 prices will be here this week- cars in August.

Might have a Z06 and new GT4RS at the same time.

Lead follow or Get the Hell out of the Way!

I am in absolutely no rush. I turn 50 on May 1, 2023. My only aspiration is to take delivery of the car by the big 5O! I am number six in line at my dealership.

In the meantime, while I wait from afar,
for this amazing super car…

I’ve found good ways,
to play w/ Chevrolets!!

Just scored this amazing 1987 Escort Challenge Corvette. Kim Baker number five car has a very significant history, and is part of the reason for the Corvette Challenge. She shows up from the Corvette Museum in the next couple days

1988 Corvette Challenge car. Number 22 the Panther Lift car another new purchase while I wait for the Z. This cars had three careers. First campaign for $1 million in the 1988 Corvette Challenge Series. Second SCCA/SVRA Racecar, Corvette Challenge Show car, then converted to be a very competitive SCCASVRA racecar. Along the way it was scanned in this livery and inserted into a Forza racing simulator/game. You can choose this car to race in a Corvette Challenge Series.

#111 My 1960 big brake, fuel injected Racecar is finally sorted out after three years of preparation. Racing season is around the corner, and as soon as I get this cast off my wrist… It’s go time!

63 fuel injected split window. Original silver over red car Is knee deep in a frame off restoration. Will be a Z06 tribute car. Numbers matching fuel injected motor already to go… She’s going back to Silver over red

1946 Chevy 2 ton dump truck.

My first taste of a mid engine. Just happen to be in the right place at the right time when I was putting my deposit down for the Z06. Was purchasing the Silverado below, when the guy who ordered this 2LT Z51 Backed out. Got it $600 below sticker Brand-new. I really enjoyed it all summer, but since we’re getting close to the Z06… I let her go
