Visualizer has the orange calipers back. It seems the only way to get them with the Z07 package. I am doubting I will get the Z07 package. Mainly because I have absolutely no idea what to do with R compound tires when I'm picking up at the museum and driving over 1000 miles back home on roads I have never been on before (no idea what to expect). So this brings up two questions:
Do you think there will be a market for used Z06 calipers for the non-Z06 enthusiasts?
Do you think the orange calipers will be available for order?
Still a really long away from ordering but the thought crossed my mind so I figured it was as good as a topic as any at this point. If you get anything from this, at least you gain the knowledge that orange calipers are back on the visualizer.
Usually, the visualizer doesn't correctly portray the correct final ordering options.
Even if it does, and the orange calipers are only truly available on Z07 - which seems like an odd limitation that would only serve to increase assembly line and logistical complexity - you can always get your calipers powder-coated after the fact, in a virtually limitless array of colors.

I'm going through this with my current car. I don't like the factory options so I'm looking to have my calipers stripped, recoated in a custom color, and then rebuilt with better parts (parts that can tolerate heat generated when on the track). Seems a better route for me since it takes care of two things at the same time. With the Z, I would probably do the same but it is definitely easier when there is a stock part you like and a market to sell your current calipers.

The orange calipers are available anytime you order CCBs (J57), which can be ordered as a stand alone option.

When you order the Carbon Ceramic brakes (“J57”), Harbor Gray is standard; options are Bright Red, Edge Red, Edge Yellow and Edge Orange; then for the regular cast iron brakes ("J56"), Black is standard; Bright Red, Edge Red, and Edge Yellow are options. So the only way to get Orange calipers is to get Z07 or CCB. This was confirmed at the Corvette Bash.

Good to know, thank you guys. I'm sure there was a reason for that. Just seems odd since I expect the orange calipers to be exactly the same as the other calipers... except more orange-ish.
