After having just sold my third 458, and just taking delivery of my Z06, i’m glad to be able to say thank you to GM for providing an upgraded/updated version of that car. Though I have not been able to run it through the RPM band yet I can tell the car has a lot to offer performance wise. To me, it seems so similar to the 458 I keep reaching for the turn signal buttons. I did not do this in my C8, but have all afternoon in this car. 👍👍
With respect, Ferrari never built anything quite like this As recently as 3 years ago, many experts believed a 5.5L FPC with full factory warranty was an impossibility.

Certainly many of the “experts” on this forum at least.

Nice collection! Love to hear your thoughts on the 812 (maybe one of the greatest production engines ever built) compared to the Z.
No, I did trade the 458 along with my c-7 ZR-1( the rare 7 speed vert)for the gts though. I love the v12’s, and when they came out with the open top it was easy for me. Also while the 458 is a great car, it was definitely slow comparatively, I just never cared for the 488 as I didn’t feel it had enough character. Needless to say, I was pumped when GM announced the z with that motor. I absolutely love the 812 V12, it’s got some really long legs and the sound and looks to go along.
Appears to be a 70th Anniversary model. I have one on order, and have not been sure how the interior varies from the White 70th anniv models. Could you post a pic of the interior? Thanks

I also own a C8 Z06 and have owned my Ferraro 458 since new in 2015 and mine is modified with a glorious IPE titanium catless exhaust. I would say the 458 feels a bit more "special" because it is so raw, analog and unrefined (versus the refined high-tech Z06).
I know that sounds strange, but if you drove my 458 you would think it is as fast as the Z06 because the way it sounds and shifts (tuned). From a driving experience, I would agree with the OP - the Z06 is a better vehicle in so many ways but I could never sell the timeless visceral Ferrari 458 which is by far one of the best NA V8 engines out there next to the Z06. Emotion to me is a big deal and Ferrari absolutely delivers that.
