Default Order change

I did a search but was unable to find an answer. I am currently at 3000 and would like to add carbon flash side mirror option. How long into the process can changes be made to an order?

My understanding is no changes once the order goes to 3000.
I have heard it’s theoretically possible to change an order during the 2-3 day window between 2000 and 3000, but no dealer I have ordered from was willing to try it.

For such a minor change, it's not worth it. If in fact the order was changed (it has been noted that certain dealers / sales consultants such as Mike Furman at Criswell have contacted the factory to make a change at 3000, but the order will get pushed back. If you were changing colors or coupe to convertible, it may be worth it, but for mirror caps?

Most people are sitting for months waiting to have the opportunity to place their order. Use that time wisely and know exactly what you want and then have the dealer send you the GM workbench sheet that has your order as it was entered in the computer. Double and Triple check to make sure it is exactly as you want it. That is where you want to catch any errors or make changes if needed.

If your dealer is persuasive enough a car CAN be pulled back from status 3000 to 2000 then changes can be made. It depends how hard your dealer wants to get involved AND how long the car has been at 3000. If it just turned to 3000 then chance is better opposed to it being close to 3300.

You can do it. The dealer has to call the district manager and he can get it done.

I changed to Carbon flash nacelles at that stage and I added museum delivery.

I made big changes and it set me back 1 allocation cycle. We don’t know how many cycles there will be so I’d just keep it as is for such a small change.
