My car was build on 19 Apr, but I had not heard any updates since it went to 3800 status. Then, Friday afternoon my dealer called and said it just showed up on the truck. 1LZ, Z07 with carbon flash aero, comp seats, and PDR. They finished PDI in four hours and I was able to take it home that evening. It arrived with only 2 miles on the odometer. Drove it a little this weekend with no issues. It runs at 172-174* coolant temperature in 102* weather, and will get to 184* if left sitting at idle with the AC on. I haven't had a chance to check the oil temps yet. Love the comp seats - a perfect fit for me at 5'10" and 175#. I was a little surprised at how big it is externally. That is pretty obvious in the photos next to my ACR. Looking at the two cars it is also obvious why the Viper has such big downforce numbers. LOL I ordered the engine bay X-brace and a harness bar, but haven't received them yet.
Thoughts on silver flare metallic. If you are going to order silver, you might want to take a look at the color in person. It has a pearl or other additive that makes it turn a little "goldish" under bright or florescent lighting. Some folks will really like it - I am not a fan. (I much preferred the Blade Silver on my 2006 C6Z). At least it doesn't turn from purple to green. LOL The visualizer looks better in my opinion. See the comparison below. I don't get wrapped around the axle over color, but if I had it to do over I would order HG. Other than that minor whine, I am loving the car.

In bright sunlight Visualizer
I am in the opposite camp. I have never ordered a silver car in my life, but when I saw the silver flare in person, I loved the “goldish tint” that would seem to make the silver really pop in the sunlight, and when viewed at different times of the day or fluorescent lights and almost would alternate for me between goldish and Coprich metal flake shimmer is the best I can describe it. I’ve never seen it before. I am at order status 3000 and shocked myself by ordering silver flare over white and red mist which were the leading contenders. I definitely agree with you on any color. You should really see it in person because the visualizer is way off on almost everything. I am looking forward to hitting VIR. and the tail of the dragon in the next couple of months when the car arrives at the NCM for museum delivery. That’s a great stable. You got right there of two legendary sports cars. God bless the USA.
It's not a bad color - it gets a lot of positive comments. My concern was a little more about reparability (touch up) for minor dings and chips that are inevitable on track. Looks like it might be hard to blend. I will definitely go with an expel clear for protection.
I bought it to track, so I wanted the lightest, least complicated car I could get. The base model is still heavy, but a little lighter, and I insisted on Z07 with the associated aero, plus comp seats and the PDR for the track. I passed on the lighter carbon wheels because you can't get slicks in those sizes, and I wasn't sure they would hold up to track abuse and lots of tire swaps. Good forged 19" monobloc track wheels (Finspeed or Forgeline) are almost as light. Driving it during break-in I don't really see anything that I care about that I am missing - and unlike my ACR, it still has a full compliment of speakers, padding under the carpet, and some sound deadening.
