Default Anyone Remove Engine Intake?

Has anyone removed the LT6 intake? Wondering how involved it would be if I wanted a different color than what GM is currently offering (Black/Edge Red)

Someone posted a while back about removing it and getting it painted. Should be able to find it in a search. After getting my Z06 and realizing how incredibly difficult it is to get to the engine, I am SO glad they came out with the red intake so I could just order it. I love the Edge Red as it goes very well with Red Mist. Hope its easier to take off than it looks for those wanting a different color.

And the Edge Red intake will now match the Edge Red valve covers. Bringing continuity to the engine color scheme.

I want to do the same as it wasn't an option for '23 HTC. I read the post previously about someone who did it but I didn't think it had a lot of details and the overall level of effort required to do it. Might try to tackle this winter and document the process if no one does it sooner

I also recall a previous thread on this, I believe it was titled something along the lines of the OP asking for oem intake manifold gasket part numbers, and then explaining why he needed them.

I would have loved a torch red option, but would have wanted the valve covers to match. I’m happy with the edge red
