ZZ3 is only available on Z06 coupes.

GM won't say if ZZ3 is holding up releasing Z06 coupes.
According to C8Tracker window sticker data, 569 ZZ3 optioned Z06 coupes have shipped but only 2 since 8/19.

The ZZ3 option is a published constraint for 2024 Z06 coupes.

I was scheduled to take delivery at the NCM today....got an email saying it was canceled due to part shortages on Monday. The car left the production line 2 weeks ago. Very likely the EAP or visible carbon fiber aero. I have both on my Z07 coupe.

Welcome to the club garyiii4!

When the issues get resolved there is going to be a lot of cars waiting for delivery at the NCM.

I'm praying for no snow on the ground.

I ordered an aftermarket of the engine appearance. Probably one of the easiest aftermarket pieces to install and obviously not as expensive. Just make sure if you order it's not plastic and has a heat shield on the under side. I will say a few of these simple carbon fiber parts (engine cover, appearance, side mirrors) much easier and cheaper aftermarket.... and won't hold up your car. Things like wings and canards though, believe it makes sense to order it with so you don't have to drill random holes in your bumper and deck lid.

I got the engine appearance package on mine because I wanted to make sure I got the factory lighting in the engine bay. 2024 buyers can order that separately. I looked at aftermarket CF for the engine bay and some were less expensive and some were more. I decided I might as well get the factory option since it came with the lighting I wanted and the warranty. That CF package with the lighting and the red intake make a night/day difference to a stock engine bay. It's so sharp! I still don't know how I got my car when so many are being help up for that. Feel fortunate about that.

As for the other carbon fiber pieces, like the mirrors, you are so right. Got my beautiful carbon fiber mirror caps for under $200. GM wanted $1250 if I remember correctly.

Looks sweet with the red intake! Fingers crossed this strike doesn't happen so I can get mine in two months... I did add the engine light (or so I think).

I was scheduled today also and got a similar email, I don’t have visible carbon fiber aero, but I did option the EAP, which appears to be the culprit. My car was built on 8/28. Looks like it’s going to be a while 😞 as there seems to be a bunch of z06s before mine also waiting

I ordered the Shield Engine Compartment Carbon Fiber B6P. What is the difference? Is it the light?

On the 2023's the engine lighting also came with the red intake option. It was strange but it actually was included with engine appearance package AND with the Red Intake option. So if you got both options like you did (and so did I) you paid twice for the lighting. Strange, but they have straightened that out for 2024.

Yea, I saw someone mention quite a while ago that but then I also saw where someone said they ordered the red intake and didn't get the light so I didn't want to take a chance and just order the red intake. GM owes me $100... well that and $20K for raising the price...

The nice thing about the factory engine light is that it stays lit for a bit after you shut the doors, then fades out. It's a nice touch to walk away from your car and see that beautiful lit up red intake and carbon fiber through the glass. I had considered adding my own light kit but glad I got what I got!

Yea, it seems to stay on for about 10 minutes. Reminds me of that silly light on the hood of C5’s. I pulled the bulb out of that one. These on the C8’s are much nicer.

One note on the engine appearance package. If you’re thinking of adding the GM carbon fiber Cross Brace over the engine you can NOT do both. You can not add the cross brace over top of the engine appearance panels. You will break the panels at the rearward mounting points. Only way you can do it without breaking them is not cranking the bolts down to the recommended torque.
