Anyone else concerned even when strike is over about build quality of a $150,000. sports car with workers beleiving they are so underpaid? With that kind of attitude I would think quality control might just go out the window or even things just not getting tightened to specs.

You bash us, then get on wait lists to buy our corvettes? Please tell me why?
You guys think we sabotage your cars because we’re on strike? Like I said before in the other thread, we take pride in our jobs and all of us give 110%. We want to produce quality vehicles for everyone. Are there hiccups? Sure, it’s inevitable, but we’re only human.
Yes, workers are not happy. I don’t want mine built during the strike. People are humans and get emotional over things like this. I wouldn’t put it past anyone to just “mail it in” during the strike. I.e. shoddy quality.

When my 2020 was being built, they went on strike with my car half built on the assembly line. I had that car for 2 years and over 12,000 miles without a single issue.
Now my 24 Z06 is scheduled to be built next week. I'm not too concerned about quality. There are so many checks and balances, the vast majority will be fine.
I'm not pleased there is another strike now. I will say, having visited the assembly plant many times, the workers at the Plant are a good group of people committed to building a great car.
The assembly line is pretty automated and it’s tough to see how individuals can alter quality too much. Besides, if specific a VIN has major issues, they know who worked what station on the car by date and I’d think any trends of sloppiness deliberate or not, wouldn’t be good for a specific worker. I doubt any worker is taking frustration with management out on innocent customers…they’d only be hurting themselves in the long run. I’d think the quality issues arising after production are remaining fairly stable.
With all the price increases, no more 5K GM rewards, waiting for parts, waiting for the car, waiting for the strike to be over and all that waiting, i will gladly take a z06 that might have been built by someone who isn't happy about their job.
Like someone said, that's what warranty is over. If there's an issue with your car, there's going to be an issue with your car. Nothing you can do and doing all the what if's and trying to strategically plan so you can get that perfect built car will not happen.
That said my car arrives tomorrow! My delivery guy already called me! So excited!
This comment keeps being thrown out by people either without a car or without one that needs warranty work. The warranty doesn't do much good with incompetent Chevy dealerships and techs combined with lack of parts.

What's the alternative chief? Go buy a P car if you want customer service.

the padding on my htc which was built on a Friday before the strike. Passenger side was installed backwards. Waiting on replacement part. I saw another post where a guy with a 3lz got fabric 2lz nacelles instead of 3lz suede. Apparently it’s not that automated

No, it isn’t all automated. I’ve been to the plant. There have been buyers over the years (decades) who have had quality issues, no doubt. I just don’t think it is more frequent now or strike-related, let alone deliberate.
Absolutely! Will take pics and video. Even though i did see a C8Z on the highway this past summer, it was far away and he took his exit right away.
Tomorrow will actually be the very first time hearing it, like actually hearing it in person. Cold start and all! I don't think i'll be able to sleep tonight.

I did bro, and thank you for the support! I thought I hit the like button but it didn't register. Congrats on your purchase!
But it doesn't matter who you guys buy a car from, Ford, Stellantis, GM, Porsche, BMW, etc.. All manufacturers are going to have hiccups, delays, etc and all are going to build them the best they can. We aren't a bunch of goons/thugs like a few on here make us out to be.
