What strikes me is the intensity of the fire, especially forward of the engine. The photos look very similar to the 2024 EV test mule that burned in Spain last year. GM has said an oil leak in the motor caused the fire and that there were no EV-associated batteries in the car at the time. The fires were very intense, to the point of melting aluminum suspension components. Wonder why it burns so hot? Here are the results of the earlier fire in Spain.
Any idea where this was? I was in FL last week and on Friday was driving on West on I-4 near Daytona area after having gotten off 95 and saw something on the eastbound side that looked very similar to that. I was trying to figure out what it was based on the wheels, but it didn't click Corvette, but I haven't followed the C8 gen wheels as well as some past gens. Color and background from what can be seen from the pics looks about right though.
