Google Maps Stuck
Anyone have this issue? for two days now it's fixed at the same location and saying "searching for gps", this is the builtin google maps on the 2024 infotainment system

My iPhone hangs up all the time. I have now finally recognized that as soon as I see that, I reboot. Glad to see there's a way to do that. Wonder if all the map issues with C7 updates might be resolved with a reboot - if that's possible.

I've never warmed to either Waze or Google Maps. I like that I get reasonable progressive instructions (like not this light but the next, turn left). My only gripe has been that comments to them about inaccuracies don't seem to get fixed. But it's a minor point for me.

My 24 HD Silverado has the new goggle maps and I don’t like it either, hopefully the 25 models will go back to the earlier versions of navigation maps.

My 2024 that I picked up yesterday and drove 1200 miles did it. Didnt' notice until I got off the interstate and realize it was stuck in North Texas and I was in Austin. It was reporting 70mph speed limit in my neighborhood. I was using Carplay and Waze the whole time. I found all the Google crap and turned it off and problem went away.

How did you find out about that fix? I'm still in the free OnStar unlimited that ends on April 2, but the GPS on maps could not find the signal the day after I signed up for the El cheapo $15 per month plan. Maybe a coincidence.

I just signed up for google maps after owning the car for more than a year. Maps has frozen 3 times in the last 8 days. If this is simply how buggy it is, I may as well quit OnStar again.
