Default Z purchase suggestions

Just my opinion for what it's worth. I recommend that you not buy a Z06 1LZ with essentially no options. I had a number of friends advise that down the road they will be that much harder to sell. Of courser - each to their own.

Following is an example, granted only one. I looked at a number of available 1LZ's with essentially no options. Pricing certainly was attractive, except they had been at dealerships for a while.

I lucked into 2024 Z that had been ordered eight months ago, and arrived ten days ago. It was a 3LZ Coupe, Hypersonic Grey, carbon/ceramic brakes, good amount of carbon fiber options from interior to spoilers, optional graphite grey wheels w/red stripe, w/Jake Racing hood and rear decals (w/light grey) which colors matched the car colors perfectly, two roofs.
MSRP was $152K. Because someone had a deposit on the car meant that it was not "sold". It took a few days for the dealer to reach the person with the deposit as they were on vacation. During thast time, since it wasn't "sold" it was automatically put on the dealers website. Dealers, prospects, flippers, etc. all saw the car. Because it was attractive both from an aesthtic perspective, and an option perspective, they were all clamoring like crazy to buy it, but could not because of the deposi. After a few days the dealer talked with the prospective customer who said I'll pass. I then thankfully received a call immediately offering me the car, to which I said, I'll take it. I offered a reasonable ADM because I knew they could sell it in a flash and I appreciated their call to me. I recognized that I have no interest whatsoever in flipping the car, although I can easily get $25K or more for flipping this car now, never mind the increase in interest come Springtime. So me of the carbon fiber pieces are effectively not even available. Another consideration was that I am on two lists for a ZR!, but that's a whole other technical discussion.

Since when can you give your allocation away? Most if not all dealerships will just go to the next person in line or the dealership will order the car for themselves. That’s what happened with my CT5V Blackwing allocation, the 2 people in front of me passed because they were waiting on carbon aero, I passed on mine because a few things I wanted were on restraint. The dealership then put their own order in for the Blackwing.

Autotrader 2023-2024 Z06 lowest price first. Was 711 cars a few weeks ago but no production for bit down to just under 500.
Can be had at mostly MSRP but their are some both higher and lower!
