Default Wheels stud extenders

My Z06 has the CCB rotors. Are the wheel stud extenders the same for Stingray and Z06? Any difference in the stud size between the two models? Looking to purchase and the vendor does not differentiate between the two models. Thanks.

I also have CCB rotors. Bought mine here, and yes Stingray is the same size.

I have the stud extenders from my '21 Stingray that I wanted to use on my Z with CCB's. The problem I found is that with the wider wheels on the Z, the wheels come off the extenders before the back of the rim clears the rotors or painted calipers. I also have a 'Mag Assist' from ZL1 Products and have the same problem, as it's not long enough to stay in contact with the hub bore before the back of the rim clears. This could be a real problem and damage the rotors if/when the wheel drops off the extenders. I took some measurements and am having a shop make me a longer 'Mag Assist' to give me full clearance of the rotors and calipers.

Does anyone know where to find longer threaded studs for the ZO6? I think I need more thread contact with my after market wheels.

^^^^^^^Just something to consider. When I bought MRR wheels for my Stingray the stud extenders wouldn't fit thru the wheel stud holes. The threaded end of the extenders had a larger diameter then the wheel stud opening, that's why I ended up buying a 'MagAssist'.

Paragon has them they are very long but very thin tubing I snap 2 of them taking my wheels off if you don't support the weight of the weight while removing them and let the weight of the wheel rest near the end of them they snap.

I used all 3 as well you just need to keep the weight of the wheel off them. These will not support the full weight of a wheel.

I like Paragon and their service is excellent. However the stud extenders were a disappointment. They’re aluminum and snap super easily.

I bought a set from ACS Composites and they’re stainless steel. They seems to be a lot more robust.

I bought my C5Z ones from Reverse Logic, They are stainless steel. If memory serves me correctly, Steelman bought them out since, and that’s who I got the ones for my C8 Stingray and now C8 Z06 from.

I’ve never rested the full weight of the wheel on them though, until it’s flush with the rotor. I merely use them as a guide until I can get one lug on hand tight to keep it from wobbling around.

I've always used two stainless steel extenders that worked fine. For my 2024 Z I have the three stainless steel extenders. Given the wheel weight increase for the C8 that is the way to go.
Cannot imagine using aluminum exyenders.

I borrowed a set of the Paragon extenders from a friend and ended up snapping all three. My mistake was having the car higher up than it should have been. Fortunately the wheel was away from the rotor when the extenders snapped. I think the trick to using the aluminum extenders is to have the tire barely off of the surface you're working on. I now have the ACS extenders and they work just fine. I replaced my friend's extenders with the ACS units as well.

Two cracked and one snapped clean.

I've used these without any issues. SS and 8" long. 3 for $79.99.

Total junk. The one I broke happened after the wheel was all the way off. I went to move it out of the way and the edge of the tire touched an extender…snap. It was done.

CS was good though. Immediate refund.

Have used the Steelman wheel stud extenders on my 2024 Z06 with CCB's. Haven't had any problems changing both front and rear factory wheels using those extenders. Didn't need the
factory foam CCB disk covers.I just lifted the car so thejust go slowly and be careful. wheels are fractionally above the ground and all went well both removing and replacing the wheels. Granted the wheel/tire assemblies are heavy but just go slowly and carefully.

Not sure why the Paragon extenders are alminum given how thin some of the wall thicknesses have to be. I'm quite happy with the performance of the Steelman stainless steel extenders and haven't had any problems, front or rear, on my 2024 Z06 stock wheels.

I got my custom, longer ZL1 Addons type extender back from the shop yesterday. Works great on my Z06 with CCB's. Now the wheel COMPLETELY clears the rotors and calipers before the wheel hub comes off the extender. Custom extender picture on top, standard extender on bottom.

I have these for my C8 SR and they work great. I have ordered them (two weeks ago) for my Z06 and am awaiting delivery. They, ZL1 Addons, just indicated that there were manufacturing delays and that delivery times are extended. Hopefully, I'll received mine shortly.

I know ZL1 Addons now advertises bespoke MagAssists for the Z06. I inquired as to the difference in length over the Stingray version but couldn't get a precise dimension, only that they were 'a little longer'.
