Picked up my C8 z06 a few weeks ago. I now have 175 miles and driving today the engine light went on and after letting the car sit for a period of time while doing something else the fault cleared.
Had anyone experienced this with the C8?
I am purchasing an update car analyzer and just want to know if this is a common issue with these vehicles. All other sensors working fine. The car was and continues to run with no other issues for the moment..

You need to read the code for the CEL. No, CEL should not come on normally, something went wrong. It is cleared since it was a temporary failure. Yes, it is unfortunately a fairly common problem.
I took my car out of winter hibernation last weekend and as soon as I started it up it had the check engine light on. Drove it about 50 miles, still on. Bought an OBDLink MX+ OBD2, plugged it in and when I started the car light was gone and it wasn't showing any engine codes. It's not just a GM problem. My daily is a '23 MB S500 and it took a year for the dealer to finally fix an intermittent check engine light.
