I finally got the call last week that I received a Z06 allocation after years of waiting! I placed my deposit and now it's time to wait, but I had a few questions I figured the forum might be able to answer.
1. My sales rep gave me a receipt of the paid deposit and told me my order went through with no issues of constraints, but I was hoping or a build sheet - not just read verbally over the phone. Is that a normal thing to receive? I ordered a 992 911 a few years back and received my order sheet along with a way to track my order status as it went through the production process. Does Corvette do something similar?
2. Is Chevy still offering the 500,000 chevy rewards points for keeping your Z06 for 6 months? If so, when should I sign up for those rewards?
Sorry if these questions have been answered before, I'm new here. Also, if anyone else has any sage advice on what I should be doing for the next few months while I wait for delivery, I'm all ears.
1. Every time I have ordered new from my dealer (last 8+ times I can remember) they have given me a copy of the GM Order Workbench printoff. It has all details you will need to track your order like the six digit alpha-numeric order code, your customer information and your vehicle specifications (options ordered). In all cases the dealer has wanted me to sign off on the GM Order Workbench so that I could acknowledge that everything is good with the order including my customer information so there is no misunderstandings what I wanted and who is purchasing the car. If you are on this order cycle I would suggest you get this done by tomorrow (Tuesday) because after that no changes.
2. Extra 500k points was for 2023 only. You will get reward points based upon the purchase price and I can't tell you the formula for computing those because it changed right after I bought my 2022. The purchase price points was automatic for me right after I paid for the car.

Thanks for the quick reply, I just sent my SA a text - fingers crossed he gets back relatively quick
I never received a copy of the work order, but they told me the total price over the phone which matched up. Was a little concerned, but took delivery today and everything was perfect

My rep sent me the Workbench printout, which I have checked 72 times, give or take. It also shows it went to status 2000 (GM accepted) on 4/18. Hoping it goes to next status tomorrow.

as I understand it - the dealer has until Tuesday following the constraints announcement on Thursday to get the orders in and finalized. Those get locked in Wednesday (should move to 3000)

So I guess I should get an order number by today/tomorrow at the latest, barring any lack of communication
Well...this is leaving a bad feeling...hopefully it works out 🥶
Didn't mean to scare you or make you worry about your order.
Was just stating a order number is generated the moment the dealer enters it into the work bench and is at 1100. Don't need to wait for 2000 for an order number.
But it is a trick dealers do with customers to make them think they have an order when they don't.

Yeah that was what I was trying to get to. Any dealer can input your order and get it to status 1100. When your order gets matched to an allocation it goes to 2000. So you need them to show you a) the work bench order number and b) the status code with timestamp if you suspect they are not being straight up!

Yeah, I mean I asked for my order number yesterday and was told they didn't have it yet because their manager should put the order in by the end of the day. I'm optimistic because he's kept his word so far, but still uneasy as I've ordered several cars and always get an order number/verification right away - especially after paying a large deposit to secure the order vs just a small deposit for a place in line for an allocation.
I think you are probably fine. I was just telling someone today how much it sucks that we are now skeptical of everything we are told and don’t believe anything!
