I emailed Shane on May 15th and got a tentative TPW of 6/10. I checked again on May 30th and it had moved all the way to 7/29.
I don't think I'll email him again until July 😥
Sorry to hear about your new TPW. I've seen quite a few TPWs moved to later dates so I'm planning as if it'll be later. Mine is a pretty basic 2LZ build so we'll see.

USually the week before TPW, They assign the VIN
Shane also gave me a TPW of 6-17..???
Rick Conti did mention this earlier in the week on one of his videos but made it seem as if it would only effect the last order cycle for MY24. He said there would be one more order cycle and that the black spiders would be on constraint. Hopefully that's not the cause of the recent TPW adjustments but makes sense if it is.
What makes sense is that GM has many other variables to factor in when scheduling vehicles for build slots beyond supply chain issues. All this speculation about given part availability impacting when a TPW is assigned is meaningless.

Just a couple people having friendly conversation about their orders on a forum. I don't see the harm in speculation as it helps pass the time until we each get our Z.

Oh ok. Yeah my thoughts were since the 2024 wheel will go into retirement and the new wheel design will be for 2025's they need to narrow in exactly how many the need and what colors for the final push of 2024's.

Speak for yourself. It's obviously not meaningless. Whether people chatting on the forum will crack the mystery or not, the speculation is fun, and the theory proposed has a reasonable chance of being correct.
