Sorry to hear about your new TPW. I've seen quite a few TPWs moved to later dates so I'm planning as if it'll be later. Mine is a pretty basic 2LZ build so we'll see.

Update

Ordered 5/21
3000 status 5/22
Sent Shane an email yesterday (thanks to you guys) and I'm at 3300 status with 6/24 TPW

Here's my spec. Sea wolf gray isn't represented very well on the configurator.

Congratulations! I went with SWG as well, maybe my tentative TPW will stay the same as your date.

After reading the following article. I'm thinking some of us that got pushed out to August/September time frame, may be an inventory of black wheels issue since the last orders dont seem to have the option.

Rick Conti did mention this earlier in the week on one of his videos but made it seem as if it would only effect the last order cycle for MY24. He said there would be one more order cycle and that the black spiders would be on constraint. Hopefully that's not the cause of the recent TPW adjustments but makes sense if it is.

What makes sense is that GM has many other variables to factor in when scheduling vehicles for build slots beyond supply chain issues. All this speculation about given part availability impacting when a TPW is assigned is meaningless.

Just a couple people having friendly conversation about their orders on a forum. I don't see the harm in speculation as it helps pass the time until we each get our Z.

Oh ok. Yeah my thoughts were since the 2024 wheel will go into retirement and the new wheel design will be for 2025's they need to narrow in exactly how many the need and what colors for the final push of 2024's.

My order got pushed ~6 weeks and I did have the black spider wheels (SOA) on the order.

Speak for yourself. It's obviously not meaningless. Whether people chatting on the forum will crack the mystery or not, the speculation is fun, and the theory proposed has a reasonable chance of being correct.

My buddy found out today that his TPW is also 6/17 - sales guys told him expect 12-14 weeks..

I say no way and it will be at the dealer by end of July

This is what I expect (unless there are delays)
  • 6 weeks
    • 1 week for production +
    • 1 week for quality control +
    • 1 week for shipping preparation +
    • 2 weeks for transportation +
    • 1 week for dealer preparation

I'm getting closer as well, my TPW is still 6/17, and I just viewed my VIN, so far everything seems to be on track.

Are you still going off of the tentative TPW Shane provided you or did you receive an updated order status from Chevy/the dealership?
