So I finally got all the issues of my bent wheels fixed and the headlight lens replaced. (Ended up taking it to my body shop guy and he was able to put them in correctly, not crooked like the dealer did twice.) So later that day I got the following code from Onstar.BCM - BODY CONTROL MODULE
U1611
IGNORE UNKNOWN DTC
No action needed
Anyone else get this? According to Onstar I just need to take it to the dealer to clear the light. They claim nothing is wrong. I don't trust them at this point, but car seems to run normal
The dealer will just reset the codes and you'll be on your way. After 2 or 3 days of course. With modern cars these days you almost have to own an OBD reader.

I had the U1611 CEL pop up at about 250 miles. After an additional 700 miles with no issues I cleared it and moved on. Fingers crossed of course.
I've had the U1611 2x in 2 weeks. It goes away after 3-4 start/stops. The car is running great. The MY Chevy app says no issues (not sure if that is pertinent)

I suggest you have the dealer formally close them out with the scan tool. My dealer told me the reason it was coming on every few weeks or so was because the code was just ignored and let to reset on its own. The computer checks randomly and if it sees an old code still in the system it will turn the lamp on again until it's erased by the obd2 tool. This is why Onstar won't be able to find it and it comes up as a nuisance code until erased.
