Hey guys what would you choose, the carbon fiber or the carbon flash splitter? The car is a convertible with the carbon flash roof and no exterior carbon fiber accents.

As the first responder said: it's your car, so get what you want. I personally don't like the appearance of carbon fiber, though I appreciate what the material is. So I'd rather it be "hidden" behind paint, thus I went with carbon flash. But you have to look at it every day, so you need to buy what you like.

I was actually leaning toward the carbon flash finish so it would match everything. The only problem is that the carbon flash is on back order and the carbon fiber is available now.

With the 2019 Z06, I have settled for painted carbon flash paint to match the rest of the trim pieces. I had visible carbon fiber on the 2011 ZR1 to match the roof. When you eventually damage the front spoiler, it’s less expensive when it’s carbon flash painted. I will order the ERay with carbon flash.
IMHO, (you asked) seems inconsistent to mix Carbon Flash and CarbonFiber. Do all of one. Also a very big benefit of doing Carbon Flash is that should you (Heaven Forbid) damage any of those parts, they can be somewhat, easily repaired and repainted. Visible Carbon Fiber, for the most part, can’t be repaired. Front splitters seem to be quite vulnerable to damage. Again, JMHO.

There are lower cost composite options that are painted carbon flash. Can't tell the difference when it's not exposed carbon fiber. The standard side aero skirts are composite, not carbon fiber.

Doesn't that just figure. Sorry about that, but you can order the splitter from APSIS for $998, the side skirts are already carbon flash, just not carbon fiber but who cares!

Just got my carbon flash 3-piece front splitter for my Z06 from Top Flight after being ordered back in mid-June, yes it was on back order. Quality looks very good considering its inexpensive in comparison to others. BTW. It is carbon fiber painted over. I owned a collision shop the specialized in Corvettes for 40 years and can tell you splitters and lower spoilers get damaged all the time, guaranteed. CF is not reparable in most cases; we ended up painting over CF many times for customers. My C7Z with Z07 is also a Carbon flash car. I race Corvettes and buy CF parts for their low weight and strength, I don't get it for street cars, my opinion only!

$1,500 for a Poly vinyl Chloride material or simply PVC like the pipes in your house, really. I was in the automotive industry for 40 years dealing directly with parts. Beware guys that there are very few manufactures of parts and thousands of Resalers. When I look to purchase a part, I look for advertiser's pictures, descriptions and installation instructions. Many times, you find they use the same pictures, descriptions or other add materials and many times the prices are far apart from each other for the identical part.

Like you guys I have been waiting for the ACS front splitter and got on their email notification list a while back.
Got the email today and holy cow, $1599 plus tax and then import fees!!! No friggin way.
I sprung for their splash guards when they came out, because they actually serve a purpose every time I drive the car and look great, but I won’t often be driving at speeds that the splitter would serve a functional purpose.
Apsis makes a nice splitter 1-piece I used on my C8 Stingray, Carbon Flash matched perfectly + great quality. I see their post on this forum and they have a nice 3-piece like the Z06 OEM in both Carbon Flash (around &1K) and Exposed (around $1,300). The problem is Apsis is "old school" and I can not seem to find the product online to buy-now from their web site. Did not get a response to my last weekend DM with shipping info and how to order. I tried to talk & buy at Corvettes at Carlisle several times at their tent but he was too busy or arguing with a past customer. Plus, didn't have much luggage space to take-with as Caravan to NCM was next stop after Carlisle.
I like ACS stuff and their Carbon Flash is a perfect match too. Theirs is with my preferred 1-piece design and has unique built in "nine Skid Plates to maximize the splitter's lifespan". I can say from a couple weeks of owning the C8 Z06, skid-plates are a HUGE advantage. I nailed the OEM splitter coming out of Anna's Greek Restaurant in Bowling Green on a little driveway gully which I would not push the lift button on the Stingray. The Z06 overhang is much different and you need something like I had on my C7, Scrape Armor (~$500), which they don’t have for C8 Z06 (or I can not find). So, the way I am looking at ASC is a nice OEM-like splitter + scape protection is worth $1,500, so its close to their $1,595 price PLUS you get free Fed-Ex shipping and can easy order & track it on their web site.
