Has anyone else had problems with getting a check engine light for a crank angle position relearn? I’ve gotten it twice now. First time the car was at the dealer for 3 weeks while GM sent out a technician to check it out. Why in the world do these engine lights keep popping up? Car is driving fine, drove 2 hours down to Houston today and the minute I turn around to come back, the light pops. Ive also gotten the P0700 light or whatever, that GM says is a known issue but no fix so to just reset the light and release the car. I love my car but damn, I can’t stand taking it to the dealer every few weeks. Anyone else having issues? 2024 Z06

I have alot of experience with the older 3800SC ( global V6 with a supercharger ) .. The CrankShaft relearn can come up during misfires. It also can be the sensor itself issue which is what it was with alot of 3800SC ( L67 and L32 ) engines. However, using a OBDII tool that can do the process of relearn can resolve the issue also. I have the Snap on MT2500 which is a very old scantool from the 2000's timeframe and used it to relearn the ECU, but I also have the GM TECH2, which is the official scantool of 1996 and still today if you have all the new add on MDI VCI interface boxes.
The P0700 code include: Malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) illumination, Poor gas mileage, Transmission shifting problems, Engine stalling or running poorly, and Hesitation during acceleration.
So, if you get too many misfires then the P0700 will come up also.
You have so few miles I would be back at the dealer and telling them you want a tech to ride in the car with the TECH2 and datalog the misfires. There is no reason a brand new car should have any codes.
