Hey guys, just got a new 2024 Z06 with the z07 package. It got delivered to me with 5 miles on it yesterday. I drove it a little all perfectly fine and today I started it up with a Check engine light. I had the local midas pull the code and it says" Transmission control module P0700 and Brake control module P25A2. - It is now at Chevy but I'm freaking out, can someone calm me down here lol. Anyone else had this issue. What was the problem.
Just relax now. Its at the dealer. No amount of people here on the forum guessing at why the codes came up is any better news. Wait on dealer to report to you and then come update this thread.
First I could not imagine taking my car to a Midas for anything at all, do you plan on getting your oil changed at Jiffy Lube?
Second, you should have disconnected your battery for a bit and restarted it.
Comm errors happen on these new cars and resetting all the modules often fixes it.
@Crispins The midas is less than 1 mile from my house so I had them run the code so I knew whether I could drive it to the dealer which is more like 20 miles away lol. And dont we get free oil changes with the Z06 lol?

No, you get 1 free oil change.
I would never let them touch my car with their greasy hands and their lack of care, not if it was right next door to me.
You should have driven the car around some Turing it on and off, that also often clears up these codes.
Dealer is a last resort.
A com error with the car driving and operating correctly is not a big deal.

Do you take your shoes off before getting in your car?
OP nothing wrong with going to an auto parts store to get the car scanned. I've done it at AutoZone for the P00FF/U1611 codes which cleared themselves eventually. CELs are annoying on a new car. You'll just have to be patient with the dealer unfortunately.
I feel yah. Like you got a new z and was in the shop 3x for CEL within the first 1K miles. There have been numerous other issues. It's likely this unresolved issue GM is supposed to be working on but has yet to fix for a year now. Sorry it should not happen with a new car and spending this amt of money but that is GM for you!
I'm as particular as most, but getting his code checked at Midas is no big thing, so get off his case. I'm sure they were all in awe! Hopefully he'll have his car back very soon.
I had a CEL the day after I took delivery. I called Onstar and they ran a diagnostic check. They said nothing was wrong and the cleared the CEL. They also said it’s a common occurrence in the first few miles.

It's a common issue just clear the code. It's a software problem I understand GM is working on a solution. Most of us here have had the issue as well including myself.
Had the same issue recently on my 2024 with less than 1000 miles on it. Verified with OnStar that it was P0700. CEL turned off after a few drives. Like previously mentioned, it's likely just a comms error. Nothing changed with how the car drove.
We're beta testers for the GM Corvette team; nothing new. Most Corvette buyers will get rid of their new Corvettes before GM gets around to getting it fixed, but your next owner will appreciate all the help you did for GM to help figure it out.

@Jon H this made me feel better. Can you shoot me a text? I would love to give you a call and ask you some questions. 908 392 188six - Also should i just call chevy and tell them to give the car back lol

I'm just nervous the dealer is gunna make up some bullshit that they have to replace the transmission
I had the U1611 code at about 550 miles. Came with a TCM and BCM code but my scan tool didn't have a definition for it. I believe it is tied to the TSB 24-NA-025 that many others have reported, but I decided to clear it and will see if it comes back. My local dealer told me if it does, don't clear it and bring it in and GM will start a TAC on it with GM. As one who works in the s/w development industry, I don't like paying to beta test someone else's bad code.
