i had an early vin 2020 with transmission issues. Owned it for 9 months and it sat in a service department for 6 of those months. I then had a 2023 HTC that was great with no issues.
Now I have a 2024 z06 with 900 miles and the check engine light came on. The dealership can’t look at it for a week.
My question is that the Onstar diagnostics checks out fine. Doesn’t show any errors. Anyone experienced that? From reading other posts it looks like normally Onstar will give error codes.

thank for any info.
Had three CELs in two months. Onstar said could not
see anything but then proceeds to send me report. If the infamous u0401 code, GM is still working on a fix and they told me okay to drive and dealer cleared
codes each time Very disappointing to experience when you drop so much to buy one.
Go to Autozone or any chain parts store and have them read the codes. Free service.
Good info. Interesting enough, I drove to auto zone and shut off the car. When we came back out to look at it and I started the car, the light was gone and there were no codes to be read.
My 2024 Z06 has had a CEL at startup and displayed no codes four or five times now. The CEL goes away after 2-3 drive cycles each time.
The first couple times it happened, my reader showed no codes,, so I asked OnStar and they could not find any either. So went to an auto store and their reader found nothing either. After that, if my reader showed nothing, I just would drive it and see if the light disappeared, which it did every time. I sort of wonder if it was a failure if the startup self test procedure.

good indication it might be the fix GM us still working on. Mine did the same thing where light went off after a few days.

This exact thing happened to me yesterday, rando check engine light with no info on the driver info center, OnStar said no codes. Went to AutoZone and they plugged in and no codes, restarted car and CEL was gone. 2024 Z06.
