Default Critique my Build

My number has been up at MacMulkin. I should get it when they are allocated a Sebring Orange coupe.
this is my first Vette, and Im locking it in to the workbench. Anything I am missing or you would add?

3LZ Coupe Z06
Sebring Orange
HUX Habanero with sueded seat (black)
Sueded/ Carbon Fiber Steering Wheel
Stealth interior trim
engine intake in red
Visible carbon fiber roof panel
TOG high wing in VCF
Front Lift
level 1 CF interior trim
Black exhaust tips
Dark stealth badges
battery protection
SRN wheels-new gloss black 5 spoke. Black lug nuts
Jake rear hash graphic. (I ket my wife pick out an option and that is what she chose, lol)

You get a free pass on the Jake sticker haha. The only other thing I'd say is the red intake may not fit so great. Otherwise I think you have a pretty sweet build and color scheme there with the habanero!

Really wish they’d offer a more neutrally colored painted intake to coordinate better with certain specs. The standard black, unfinished intake looks cheap IMO. A silver or some type of metallic looking gunmetal like the LT6 display engine GM brought out to car shows would be nice.

Looks cool...if the boss insists on those hash marks then you have no choice

I'm avoiding 3LZ due to reported leather dash issues, though it's unclear to me how widespread they are.

id go HTC with the carbon flash painted roof and nacelles. Also wouldn't go red engine cover. If you opt for the clear engine appearance package do an aftermarket orange engine cover to match.

I love the look with the carbon flash top and wish they offered a similar appearance for the coupe. Personally, I would go coupe because I want to see that beast of an engine through the window.

You asked, so I will bite. I like the build, but I would not go with red intake. Huge clash IMO.

imo the HTC looks much better than the coupe. The Nacelles give the car a much more exotic look but to each their own.

I like the HTC but once you fold down the top there isnt much more of an opening than removing the top manually. Im putting the 8k into options.

Since you have a dominate orange/black theme, I would pass on the red intake and maybe add some body colour pieces to the engine bay from the aftermarket sources.

Forget the stripe and red intake. Otherwise, nice build.

Looks pretty good, I would change a few things if I was speccing it in orange:
  • remove jake graphic (probably tough if your wife picked it out, you could say it's on constraint )
  • orange calipers -- curious how these would look, but it might be too much
  • remove red intake
  • if you want a more aggressive look:
    • carbon fiber mirrors
    • SOA wheels (original Z06 spider design wheels)

Go with the HTC, taking the top off eventually gets old. If you opt for the orange calipers it makes the black wheels pop.

I am going to have to go contrarian here. I have an AO z06 coupe and I have never once regretted opting for the red intake over the black one, no matter if it doesn’t color match/clashes with the AO. I would have regretted the black. It looks soooo much better than the black intake. As an example, I always remember red intakes with Ferrari, no matter the exterior color of the car

My thought on the wheels is that there are enough spider take offs available if I want to find a spare set. I wanted the new design so it sets off the car from previous years.

I had a 72 Cutlass Supreme. Silver Pewter but it had a 350 with the gold engine block. It clashed but wasnt a deal breaker. LOL

I beg to differ. I think the shade of red for the intake reminds me of cheap nail polish. Not ferrari crackle red finish.

It's plastic.

The black intake makes it look much more substantial. But to each their own.

OP. Beautiful build best of luck.
