Default Decal Issue?

I stopped by one of the local Chevy Dealerships today and they had a new Z06 on the floor. The rear decal does not look correct. The outer edges line up but the Jake Skull seems off. The sales person didn't seem to think there was an issue. Wonder what happened to the decal....????

Not a decal issue, but an installer issue. Those decals are installed at the dealership.

Looks like it's printed wrong to me. Then again I see the problem, they were supposed to run the decal into the trunk gap, they didn't.
It is an install issue.

Thats exactly what they did. Really bad install. They are susuposed to run in the trunk gap and align. They did not follow directions and will need to redo if the new owner catches it. Here is proper installation from other forum members

FWIW, I know a master technician who used to work at a big GM dealership (was a local Cadi place). He was a mechanic and he said that dealership had the mechanics install all the decals. Not the detailers, not the painters, the mechanics. He said it was pretty common for a lot of GM dealerships. He always hated doing it because there are no installation jigs or even instructions in a lot of instances (at least that were ever given to him). He also said a lot of the time it would take 1-2 hours and they would only get paid for like half an hour. I don't know if this is industry "norm" for all Chevy/ GM dealerships, but he was under the impression it was.

Seems like a terrible way of doing things to me. I know when I ordered my TRX, one step was to go to a designated decal install shop that was close to the plant that the truck rolled off the line, and they did all the installations (at least on those trucks), so there was consistency and expertise. Not some crap shoot hoping each individual dealer gets it correct.

Both Decal installations is incorrect. The decals are supposed to wrap inside the trunk on both sides of the trunk lid and the rear quarter panel. Also the edge of decal is suppose to stop above the crease on the quarter panel. The one picture the decal is over the crease which is an incorrect install. There is spacing guide as well as you can see in both pictures the spacing is too wide.

Please have a dealership or someone that understands the instructions provided by GM cause this Jake kit is not cheap.
