Default Order question

I’ve owned 12 Corvettes (still have 4), but first time I’ve bought new, so pardon the rookie question. I received an email from Chevy two weeks ago saying my order (placed early November) was accepted for production. Any ideas on timing from here?.

Typically 6 weeks until arriving at your dealership assuming there are no hang ups at the factory. My C7 arrived exactly 30 days after hitting 2000 but that was a rare occurrence according to my ordering dealership, MacMulkin.

Mine also went in November order allocation. Plant is closed for Christmas and will start building again Jan. 6. Next notice should be TPW date, production week. I am expecting early March build week.

Mine also Z06 HTC, Torch Red

congrats

Simple. I need front lift and if I’m buying new I want exactly my spec. Plus, local dealer with a good reputation selling under MSRP.

The email means 3000. That’s the most unpredictable time(2nd is shipping) for an order. I’ve seen others from the November group say they have TPW’s going into February already. It all depends on GM’s logistics to where your order may fall in. Once it moves on from 3000, it becomes easier to know the timing for each stage.

You should have received an order number from your salesman. If you did, you can email Shane at the Corvette Museum, Shane R. Webb<shane@corvettemuseum.org>. He is a much better source of information than the Concierge.

I was in the November allocation cycle and my Z06 has a TPW of March. If you are in the December cycle, I would guess it will be later. Also, in case you didn't know, they can take your order without having an allocation for you. The clock won't start ticking until you go to 3000 status. The initial email from GM is slightly misleading. It implies you are in the que but you're not. I did get a link from the Concierge to get updates as my status changed. You can sign up here: https://www.chevrolet.com/order-notifications-form

Hope that helps.

Thanks, @Kevin_S21 . I placed my order November 7, wouldn’t that put me in the November allocation cycle? The concierge just told me the same thing Chevy said in the email. I’ll send Shane an email and see what he says.

My salesman said I might see it before Christmas and if not in January. Of course, he is no longer with the dealership so who knows. He also told me I was at 3000 in Early December. Hard to know what the truth is, but I appreciate your note.

If you are at 3000 then you should be in the November cycle with me. Shane will definitely be able to help you out.

According to Shane (thanks for his contact info). I am still at 3000 with a TPW of 3/10 which of course is subject to change.

Quite a difference from the dealer who said I should have it by the end of January.

When I ordered my SR, Shane was spot on. I never even bothered to ask my Dealer for updates. We are in the same TPW. If I get an update on my timing, I'll post.

If that 3/10 TPW holds, I would expect to see movement to 3100/3300 on February 20/21. Typically the order status will go 3100/3300 roughly 17 days prior to TPW.

3400 should be 3-10 days prior to TPW.

Thanks for the info. I did sign up for updates via email. Hopefully I get one that has an updated status on that date.

The next email will reflect 3400. Just be aware the timing of the emails can be off. People have gotten the scheduled for production email, when their car is at the dealer, etc.

The way to check for 3100/3300 is Corvette Concierge without having to bug Shane all the time. They are paid to deal with us nagging about our orders.

*Note I am not saying anyone is nagging Shane. Just trying to be funny.

Good to know. I would have been waiting for email that wasn't coming. Then I would have bugged Shane. LOL

Congrats!

I realize this post is 5 weeks old, but if memory serves your order being “accepted” is status 3000, so should have been another 6 weeks from there. Here was my timeline on my ‘24:

04/18/2024 - Order placed

04/18/2024 - 2000 Status

04/24/2024 - 3000 Status

05/09/2024 - 3300 Status

05/17/2024 - 3400 Status

05/27/2024 - TPW

05/30/2024 - 3800 Status (Built)

05/31/2024 - 4000 Status (released - available to ship)

06/04/2024 - 4200 Status (shipped)

06/05/2024 - 5000 status (delivered to dealer)

06/06/2024- took delivery
