my first real proof - use it for all my toys every year for our winters - but the one toy I didn’t use it for in a past winter ( a Yamaha wr400) took it out in the spring to list and sell it - got a quick buyer interested, while he was on the way fired it up and it only ran with full choke - discounted the bike a bit to sell it. Buyer calls me 2 days later, happy but carb was gummed up and main jet plugged. I had zero issues every year with this bike and every year used stabilizer except that one time as I ran out of it. Coincidence?

This is typical of carburated vehicles. The passive nature of a carb allows old fuel to turn to varnish and plug up jets. Fuel injection is much less likely to have this problem. The fuel pressure alone on these DI systems will likely blow out any varnish that might build up over a few months. Now, long term storage? I'd highly suggest using it.
