Can you back up a Z06 against a parking curb far enough that the tires stop against the curb? Or is there anything underneath the back of the car that will not clear the curb before the rear tire touches? Odd question, I know, but my parking situation requires that I back the car into a parking space with a parking curb.
You've got 5.5-5.75" to the lowest part of the undererays and the trans casing. I doubt a normal parking block is that low. Why do you have to pull all the way in? It has cameras.
Thanks for your responses. The reason I ask is that I am considering replacing my Camaro ZL1-1LE with a Z06, but I have about the worst parking situation you can imagine, lol.
In my condo complex, I first have to clear a driveway that is impossible to clear in my ZL1 w/o scraping the front crossmember, unless I use my Race Ramps. I figure that with a Z06 with front lift, and also due to the fact that the Z06 has a shorter wheelbase, I can hopefully clear the driveway.
I then have to back my ZL1 into my garage because there is a step that is the height of a parking curb and I have to back over it in order for my car to fit into the garage. If the Z06 can't be backed at least partway over that step, then there is no way to fit the car into my garage.
Sucks, but I live close to a downtown, so the garages here are small.
If you have a designated space for parking, just fit a couple of pieces of wood cut at an angle to help you clear. If you paint them gray, nobody will be likely to notice.
