Can just an amp be installed to help these garbage Bose speakers ?
not imo. They are all bose matched.
If you want to touch the stereo it's full on.
.I couldn't bother as it would involve dynamat through everywhere because it already vibrates and rattles this car to death. Just enjoy that fpc
yea, before this whole "infotainment" business started, you could easily change out anything you wanted in the OEM system via your friendly neighborhood car stereo store (remember Alpine, JL Audio, etc?)
We have our '24 C8Z HTC, a '22 Macan GTS, and a '24 GMC Denali pickup.....all with seriously crappy Bose audio. That company has never made anything that reproduces music worth listening to, IMO.
On the plus side, with our Z06's, it you have the exhaust and engine turned up at full tilt, you really don't miss not having a sound system, especially if you have an HTC and have the top down, or the rear window open :-)

Wish they would offer an upgrade like Porsche does with Burmester. I have Burmester in my wife’s car and it sounds terrific (which it should for $6000)
What trim do you have? Do they sound bad in all of them?
All of them.
High end factory car stereos were better in the 80s and 90s. None of the Bose in my Corvettes were nearly as good as the factory JBL in my old Mark VII and Mark VIII. It is a shame we’ve come 30 almost 40 years and can’t do better.

Agreed. I have 3LZ and the sound is worse than I remember in my 2LZ C6 Z06. The engine note is a lot better though so that compensates (this is the first car where I don't roll my eyes at people who say they prefer to listen to the engine: very true for me all of a sudden).
Ha ha, I have the top down 85% of the time and the Bose stereo does just fine for my needs. I’m listening to the NA LT6 most of the time anyways but by all means upgrade til your hearts content.
Admittedly I’m no audiophile, but to me the 3LZ Bose audio system sounds terrific. Conversely, the optional $6000 audio system in my F8 was truly awful.

In NO UNIVERSE is the C 6 sound system better than the new one. I had two 3LZ C6’s EASILY the worst sound system I ever heard. The new 14 speaker system is 1000% better IMHO. Not audiophile grade, but much, much, much better than before… plays plenty loud for me even with the top down, with little to no distortion.
I'm somewhat curious, what do people define as good audio system? I asked my friend this before and he has a strong preference for having audio too loud and bass that shakes other cars around him. I then ask other people who aren't into car audio but are into audiophile desktop gear like headphones and a good chunk of them seem to prefer more balanced tones and nothing overly exaggerated. At most, it would be slightly V shaped audio profiles like the Harmon Kardon curve.
At least compared to my BMW 550i's Harmon Kardon speakers, the 14 speaker Bose system sounds decent. The sound isolation of the cabin isn't as good as the BMW and the tires are big and noisy, so the music isn't as enjoyable at higher speeds. I would rate it near a similar level as my BMW's, but just a tad lower because the C8 Bose doesn't support full EQ settings. I have to do that via my phone instead. However, compared to my newer BMW i4 stock system, the C8's Bose system is better already.
The Bose system definitely isn't for bass heads and not for if you like listening at ear damaging levels. It is fairly balanced, with a slight bass exaggeration. It's decent good if you tune EQ via phone though, just as long as you're not trying to add excessive bass. You can make the vocals pretty clear by bumping the mids up a bit and reduce the bass. The car's audio adjustment of 3 bands makes it a little harder lol, so you should tune by phone if you can.

I agree, even though I’m not an audiophile, I do appreciate the clarity and tones. I struggled with this on my last Audi, even with the fancy pop up tweeters and their high end version. I found the key to getting it sounding right was setting my phone’s Equalizer. The radio, even in “hd” stations, sounds rough no matter what setting. I typically do not listen to the radio though. I use Tidal and Spotify, and Tidal is lossless audio and sounds the best. Overall I have been pleased with the Vette’s system, just need to look at the source.
Audio snobs are the toughest to please. I have a 2016 XC90 with the Bowers and Wilkins system which most rank among the best in the industry. Is it better than the Bose in the C8Z? Yes, but a lot? No. Audiophiles see “Bose” and immediately lose their crap.
I always wondered at the hit and miss quality of Bose. The system in my 3lz is just okay, while the system in my ct5 is significantly better.. but their both GM Bose systems...

I have to believe the Cadillac has better sound deadening. Corvettes are noisy cars; engine noise, road noise, less sound deadening, sticky tires throwing stones…
unless it’s a luxury car a decent stereo is good enough for me.
