I know I will get a lot of flack for this! What kind of mileage are you getting on the Z06! I know nobody cares or thinks you should care. But I love cars and am amazed at the mileage my C7 gets! The fact that I can go 500 miles on a trip before stopping for gas is great. So anyway, let me know and if you had C8 before the C8 Z06 let me know the comparisons. Thanks

I think the fuel capacity and efficiency is pretty decent. I used to have a Honda Civic type r previously and I had to fill up every couple of days or so because the fuel tank was so small so I'm glad I parted ways with that. I also used to have a Toyota Prius ECO and that used to get around 50 or 60 miles per gallon and I got spoiled with that racking up 95,000 miles so I know what it feels like to have a very fuel efficient vehicle. Right prior to my Z06 I traded in stingray z51 and those had pretty decent mileage as well but right now it's pretty hard to tell on fuel efficiency because I only drive when I need to and for the rest of the hours and time I'm always working. Overall I don't have too many complaints and I don't have to fill up too often and I get pretty good range and capacity out of the 5.5 high revving V8.
I have 4k miles on my '24 C8Z HTC delivered in August. Virtually no highway driving, and no track driving yet. My MPG over those 4k miles is 10.3. But I also drive in manual mode, cruising at 4k-5k virtually all the time, so my experience might not be indicative of the majority of owners.
I think the gas guzzler tax tells you all you need to know about Z06 MPG!
It does feel like every time I take it out for a drive, I have to make a Shell station stop....that's not completely accurate, but it feels that way......
I certainly understand that for folks who daily this car, and it's their only vehicle, MPG, while likely not a major factor in the buying decision, would at least be on the list. Kind of depressing when I fill up with V-power, get in the car, and it shows 177 miles to empty :-)

its easy to do a sticker to sticker mileage comparison
The mid engine c8z is far superior, horsepower is higher and the sound is unreal. People arent buying c8z for mileage. If your happy with your C7 great.
if I am worried about mileage and less gas station stops Ill jump in the hybrid toyota with a range close to 600 miles. Apples and oranges.

If concerned about mileage before stopping on a trip I’d skip the Corvette and get an F150. My F150 with the extended range tank goes over 700mi per fill up on a tank. With that said about every 200-300mi I need a bathroom break so it is a moot point. Where do you stop most of the time to go to the restroom?- a gas station. YMMV.
90-mile Silver State event, 150 MPH average speed, 8.7 MPG mostly in 6th gear at 5200 RPM, about a 2500' elevation drop. With my C6Z stock it was 9.7 MPG and with 600rwhp full HCI it was 10.5 MPG, both mostly in 5th gear at about 4700 RPM.
Wow mine has never seen 20 mpg. Are you going downhill with a tailwind? lol
500 mile round trip to/from Las Vegas cruising ~5-7 MPH over the 65/75 MPH posted limits = 20 MPG+ on cruise control elevation 5000-2000-5000. My C6Z stock would do that trip at 28-29 MPG. The C8Z is much better on trips and on road courses and fine in town.
If you haven’t already purchased your Z06, and mileage is of concern to you, an E-Ray may be the better choice. Similar mileage to your C7 and nearly equal performance to a C8Z. Just doesn’t have that wonderful “song” coming from the tailpipes or the exotic appearance of the FPC engine. Also you save a bit of $$ on the front end.
We just passed 700 miles on our 2025 C8Z Coupe - so far, best I've seen was yesterday driving from Daytona to Ocala, FL and it topped out around 19.8 mpg with some spirited stints in between mostly following lines of traffic around speed limit (55-60). Around town, like others, I see around 12-13 mpg, with a balance of spirited/conservative driving. It seemed like the mileage got a "tad" better when we passed 500 miles. Maybe I'm crazy, but along with the car opening up a bit, it seems like it.
Purchased my C8Z7 back in May of 2024 and now have 13k miles on it. I daily it. I see an average of about 12-13 mpg for around town and 18-19 on the highway. I've seen over 20mpg on the highway on a long trip with cruise control and transmission in auto. However, I rarely drive it in Auto and rarely use cruise control.
This is the first car I've owned that driven conservatively doesn't exceed the estimated sticker of 12 around town. I know it will get better on the highway, but I'm getting around 12. It started around 10.5 when I first purchased it in November.
