Is there a size difference between standard seats and the GT2 seats in terms of width or "looseness" for the upper part of seat?

I don't know if there's a size difference but they do both feel different. I personally prefer the standard seats but I'm pretty sure most people prefer the upgraded GT2 seats. Swing by to some local dealers and try them both out and maybe take some measurements if you'd like.

I have had 6 C8s and all have had the GT2 seats because they were either 3LT or 3LZ trim levels.

A buddy just picked up a 2LZ Z06 Coupe with the standard seats so I was curious. He is a big guy, as am I, and said his back fits much better in the standard seats and he didn't care about the carbon fiber insert because he is sitting in the seat and can't see it.

Interesting. It looks like both have their pros and cons as expected.

The seat frames are the same for the GT2 and the standard seats and are identical to the C7 seat. The GT2 seat cushion uses a higher density foam cushion than the base seat. The upper cushion is tighter between the shoulders in the GT2 seat.

I've had both. They feel the same to me. Both very comfortable.
