Just curious if anyone has had this code? "Rear Axel System Off" and the check Engine light comes on! and stays on. You can dismiss the Rear Axel code? Thank, JD
Call On-Star and they will send you the diagnostic. I’ve had 4 C/E lights in 5 months. 3 were nothing, in fact On-Star couldn’t see anything on their end. Last one, 3 weeks ago, was a fault trans to engine (too lazy to look it up). I was just over 6K miles so figured it was related to the DCT filter. It was.
Need to pay attention to that one. Your ECU and eLSD have lost comms. If you have a code that says you need to relearn crank sensor, the dealer needs to do that. I believe your motor will run in severe retard timing until this procedure is performed. Regardless, GM still has no fix for this lost comms issue, as far as I know. GM needs to address this and other codes or else they will hear from the Fed and their attorneys. If that happened when you were driving high speed in a corner, at an incline, and you lost comms (and your eLSD go from 100% to 0%) you'd lose control and spin out. Probability of bodily harm is high. Not good.
The update for the random CEL issue was issued in January for the 2024 Z06. I got mine updated last month. So far no CEL's. There is a TSB out on this.

I got the same message last weekend the check engine light is still on. 2023 with 3600 miles, I don’t have time to go to the dealer, was hoping fault would clear on restart.
If you’d like to read my story with the same message on my 2021. BLUF, DCT replaced at 49,000 miles because valve body was on national back order. Now at 75,000 miles.
