With the weather clearing some, I pulled the cover off my '25 ZO6 and fired her up. Everything worked fine. As I returned home, the dash lite up saying software update is available with the options "Install" or "Read More". So I read more; sounded ok but vague about what the update does. Finished reading and the window for the update went away. I've refired the car twice but the window for the update has not returned.
This update, whatever it does, is apparently not a dealer install deal. The Read More part said park in a secure place and that key fobs etc likely wouldnt work for about 15 mins while the update installed. For context, the car just went over 500 miles during this ride and has otherwise worked flawlessly. I didnt have the radio/sirius on and usually dont because I enjoy listening to the fusion reactor behind my head.

I'm pretty sure I get the same update option every now and then since I have multiple GM vehicles. I think it's normal and nothing really to stress about. You can just do the update whenever it prompts you again and whenever you have a chance otherwise shouldn't be too big of a deal. If you have any further questions or concerns, you can always call up a couple of your local GM or Chevrolet service advisors and request their feedback and then compare their answers...
