I think there's yellow, orange, and red caution and warning lights that approach on the HUD as mentioned above... As it approaches and gets closer to red line. I see those warning lights quite frequently.

i didnt figure this out on my own but passing along what another forum member shared. If you switch the tach to numerical, the dash will now have a shiftlight (colored). Better than the HUD one.
