Hi all, I was quoted $7500 for a "full" PPF and ceramic coating. However, now he's saying that it does not normally include the front lip and the diffuser.
He says he will include the front lip for free, but will charge me for the diffuser.
Just wondering what you are you guys' experience with the so called "full" PPF. Does it usually include these things? And if diffuser is not included, what is the expected price on that?
Yes, true "full" PPF should include everything, lip and diffuser included. Try and find someone else if they aren't going to cover the whole car with the "full" package.
Full means full. Reminds me of when someone says hey this is free but you gotta pay shipping and handling. That's not free. For that price I'd walk away ASAP
$7500 seems high for a Vette, full size suv yeah....vette nah..."Full coverage" can vary depending on the shop, yeah full should mean full but we are in merica...make that money
I can see how the diffuser would be a pita to wrap. Don’t blame them for wanting to charge extra. It seems like that piece might get debris thrown up from the tires though
As others have said, full should be full. I would also ask what brand of PPF and ceramic coatings. If they are using high quality of both, the price seems fair in my market. The best way to find out is to check with other shops in your area and get more than one quote.
As a reference, I received a quote for full PPF from Auto Armor in Bowling Green, KY. prior to having Museum Delivery, it was $12,500 with an extra $2.5K for ceramic coating. I didn’t go that route and used my local shop with great results.

Auto Armor thinks they have a Captive audience being in BG and having a good amount of people doing musume delivery. Way over priced but if folks keep paying, chaching!

I also got a high quote from them for my Feb. delivery. I got local quote Xpel dealer in Rayleigh for 1/2 the price. I bought a bra from NCM and drove home 600 miles, no rocks.
I didn't see anyone mention this in this thread. There is a difference between "full" with pre-cut templates and "full" using custom cut on the car bulk film install. There is a lot of debate on the forums which is better but I don't want to start that arguement. Custom bulk will be more expensive as it's more labor and requires more skill.
There is also a difference in film thickness. Thicker gives more protection but also costs more in both materials and labor, since it's harder to install.
I got a custom bulk install with 10mil STEK when my Z06 was at ~10 miles. The price exceeded all numbers on this thread so far. But the result is that every painted surface of the car is covered and there is almost nowhere you can see the film edges as the film is wrapped around the edge of every panel where it's possible to do so. I like the result and think it's worth it. It enables me to drive the car wherever I want without ever worrying about rock chips.

I think there’s a nice convenience factor to just have it already done by a good shop when you take delivery. I’d pay a premium for that, but PPF prices are all over the place, so hard to say how much I’d be willing to pay. People are always posting about some local shop they have that quotes prices way lower than anything in my local area.

Premium maybe but double the price of the avg. price installs, No. I won't be doing a museum (spelled correctly this time) delivery but if I were I'd probably use track wrap until I got home.
I had my entire 2025 Z06 covered with Xpel at a cost of 8k. If it has paint on the outside of the car, it's covered. Had it on my 2020 Z51 also and someone dragged a cart or something like that along the right front fender and bumper cover of the car in a parking lot. Got home and removed the ppf that was damaged and not a scratch on the paint. Shop even replaced, no charge. Worth every penny to me.
Been getting my cars "100%" full wrapped for over 20 years, that is everything, mirrors, every bit of carbon fiber, even the door sills were your shoes could leave marks. I usually pay around 6k, besides the ppf, that is full paint correction, window tint, windshield protection and ceramic
