So in April of this year I was in an accident. The passenger side and front of the car. It is now September and I am still waiting for parts (body panels). This is to me beyond ridiculous. BG has produced over one thousand wide bodied cars this year but they don't have parts for my car? What the heck. As a retired sales executive, I know that the person most likely to purchase your product is one who has purchased it before. That would be me. Why would I EVER recommend to somebody that they buy a Z06 knowing that it may be in the shop over 6 months if it ever needed body work done. Does anyone know who I could contact to help with this issue? I would love to drive my car at least once this year before storing it for the Winter.

Where is the car (third party repair shop, dealer or other) and who ordered the parts and when?
It it has been sitting that long not sure if the issue is with the place that you selected to do the work and or with extended patients to get the parts. Have you looked on line yourself for the parts needed. Some times its just better to source them yourself as allot of shops have one or two suppliers and they will not check anywhere else. I think the right front fender is 84824882 and you can find here.
The car is at Gerber Collision and Glass in Rhinelander, WI. Gerber is a certified facility for 'c8 Z06's. Parts have been ordered by Rhinelander GM in Rhinelander, WI. The parts began to be ordered in April. The parts were ordered by Gerber Collision through Rhinelander GM
I had the same problem. My shop tried sourcing the part all over the country and through GM with no luck. What worked for me was reaching out to the below and opening a case with GM. They assigned a local rep who i spoke with a couple of times per week. It still took about 4-5 week to get the part after opening a case, but we did get there. You can contact GM Parts customer service for car accident parts availability by calling (800) 223-3526 Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 8 PM EST.

Had an accident at the track September of last year. The last part, passenger side rocker, showed up in late April got it back early May. Its a very good car sold by a company too focused on counting beans.
Your story is just awful. My career was as a marketing exec. What you learn first is that the person most likely to buy your product is someone who has purchased before. That would be you. They just need to treat their current customers better because stories like yours and mine do not encourage new buyers when heard.

Assuming the overwhelming majority of owners don't have accidents, the bigger issue for the community is the absolutely shitty service departments at most dealers, but its all part of the same mind set once the cars leave the lot.
The key part needed is the passenger side aperture panel part #

I checke with one of my go too's. I would call them to see if they can get it as well. At this point exhaust all avenues and who ever gets it first wins.
I called that number and finally got to the bottom of the issue. Thanks a lot! My part should becoming within the next week.
That’s great news. Awesome that there are ways for owners to be involved and have resources to “get things done”…. But awful that we have too…. My take is gm is very much about “the squeaky wheel..” when it comes to customer service.
Frankly if I were you I would file a buyback with the BBB see what happens. If they can't furnish parts for a car they sold you they are liable even if you broke it.
Unfortunately, I think manufacturers are only producing/sourcing enough parts for orders. I have an issue with the stitching coming apart on the driver's seat in my '23 M2. Dealer Parts Manager said there is no replacement leather in the US or Germany. He has to submit a special case request to headquarters in Germany for them to submit a request to have a new seat skin produced & sent to the dealer. No estimated timeline
My issue doesn't prevent me from driving my vehicle, but still sucks. I feel your pain.
An update on the Z06. It is now October 23rd. This process started in April and I am still waiting for the side aperture panel. I am so frustrated. I am working with the GM parts people in Michigan. I've gotten 3 different stories from GM. First, I was told that it was to be made during week 34 (mid Sept.) When I called again, after no part, I was told it was still on BO. Then 2 weeks ago I was told 10 were made and due to be shipped. Today, I was told that the only information they have is that it's on backorder. So frustrating. So confusing. Jeremy at Rhinelander GM tells me that GM has been this way since Covid. That was FIVE years ago. I really have to wonder what the heck is going on with GM.

Frustrating in FULL, GM NEEDs a hard recstructering, seems its very much Lacking in Managerial skills. They produce a hi end vehicle yet we dont get treated with the upscale dignity like other hi end vehicle dealerships..
