I am going to remove the rear Corvette lettering on the back bumper as one of the letters had broken somehow. What is the easiest way to accomplish this?

Dental floss and goo gone. Easy job, Just take it slow. The corvette flag emblems are MUCH more difficult. Stick with just the vette letters.
I took them all off with the dental floss trick, but I take three lengths of dental floss out, about 36" each, then twist them into a little rope. You want to be pulling as straight along the surface as possible, with a light sawing motion. Bring the dental floss container with you as I broke a few pieces getting the hang of it, and had to make trips back to house for more. If you don't have Goo Gone then WD40 works like a champ. Inspect the surfaces carefully after removal and cleaning as this paint gets micro-scratches on it if you even look at it funny!
I had mine removed when my car was being detailed/PPF'd but ive done heat & fishing line before on other cars. Doesn't need to be super hot as you don't want to damage the paint but just enough to soften the adhesive on the badging. Then i've used goo gone and then a thorough wash to clean any remaining solvent off. It looks great. Heres my Z06 when it was being worked on after the badges were removed.
As small as the corvette letters are, you don't need to use heat to remove them. They come off very easy with fishing line. If I remember correctly, I pulled a couple of them off without even using that
