Default EOS vs RSC rear diffusers

IMO, the one thing lacking on the Z06 is a proper rear diffuser. To that end, I’m going to get a carbon one. I’m torn between the EOS and RSC. Similar carbon patterns, a bit different fin execution, with the EOS being $2k cheaper. Anyone have any experience with either? I’m ok with spending the extra money for perfect fit and genuine aero.

Well the EOS stuff is hit or miss on some products. However after watching the video below. The rear diffuser is a solid product. Looks pretty good and fitment is pretty good too. At 2k cheaper. Its a contender. It has the rear plate attached the diffuser all in one.

I would just go with the one you like the most. Of course the RSC is better quality no doubt about it. Is it double the price difference. Not sure on this piece. EOS stepped up the game on this piece. EOS ZR1 style wing is awful. Saw it from same youtuber. Its crazy they can do a nice diffuser and totally miss the field on that ZR1 wing.

Good luck with your decission.

RSC quality is top-notch - I have a bunch of their pieces and they are all pristine, weave matches, color is consistent. Can't speak on the rear diffuser.

I think its less about EOS making one part nice (diffuser), and one terrible(ZR1 wing)… more about their quality control is just all over the place.

Just from reviews I’ve seen, people will order the same part.. some will get a nice one, others will get garbage.

I ordered a rear engine vent from EOS i liked that it was not an overlay but the quality was mediocre. Had some swirls and dull spots in the clearcoat and one sprinkler sized blob of clear between carbon and wire mesh. Spent over an hour polishing it, fitment was pretty good though. This is a piece not right in your face, I would not order something very close to your field of view like mirror caps personally. Even something low but big like rear bumper might not be worth it if you are perfectionist/OCD.
Came out ok after polishing I think.

I have purchase a TON of various EOS parts and four RSC items (wing, hatch trim in exposed CF, and rear diffuser). I am biased here because I have met the owner and TJ at RSC and I like them as humans. I will agree with everything said above. I have gotten some parts from EOS that had flaws or needed to be worked to make fit. They have responded and sent me a new part but it did take a while like almost two weeks. I never got instruction just a box and the parts and sometimes the EOS parts will weigh as much as stock or more and other times be lighter . It’s true hit or miss .

on the contrary. Every RSC experience has been flawless . They use a freight type shipping to protect shipments. All parts are light and without filler and pre preg . I’ve yet to find a flaw and every part has instructions with color pictures and their customer service is 10/10. If you have the money go w RSC. If you are on a big budget u can gamble w EOS. Only reason I don’t use RSC for everything is I can’t always afford it but when I can I am always impressed.

the video above is my experience w one of their parts and one of EOS parts. The EOS rear vent was heavier than stock and the RSC splitter saved me like 8 lbs w the vents remove. I’m super happy w it.

thank you all for the input. I think I'll go with RSC since I'm pretty OCD about stuff like this. I reached out to them and it sounds like they are a couple of weeks away from having more available.

On the same lines, has anyone install or had installed the underbody air directing pieces and brake duct extensions?

I decided to split things up. Bought EOS overlay boomerang pieces and just placed my order for the RSC diffuser.

The EOS pieces are on already and the fit and finish was nice. great pieces for the price point and very happy. looking forward to getting the diffuser and getting it on.

Im willing to bet you will be impressed with the RSC diffuser. I do the same thing, get some from RSC and some smaller stuff from EOS.

Hopefully one day RSC will make the rear bumper vents in CF that's actually lighter than stock.
