Default Ceramic Coat & PPF Cost Post

Hey everyone,
after running a quick search on the forum i havent found a dedicated thread for ppf/ceramic coast and figured transparency would help the community.

I posted a ceramic thread for my z51 where i had paid roughly 6,700$ for full front ppf and 3 coats (gold) ceramic pro. I ha e a ceramic pro elite installer near by that has done my past 10 vehicles, but understand that the carbon aero package on my z07pkg would likely entail more work, thereby more cost.

What have you paid for your ppf/ceramic?
please outline who the installer was (no diy since thats not the spirit of the thread) and limit responses to your ceramic/ppf application on your c8z for a 1:1 comparison (no c7, c6, etc).

Lastly, geographical pricing is always a consideration, so any information you feel comfortable sharing (city, state) would likely help folks.

Im in Charlotte, NC personally. Thanks in advance for everyone's contributions!

I used Auto Armor as part of the NCM Delivery.

They charged $4,800 for the Front End+ package.

https://autoarmorncm.com/service/paint-protection-film/

Ceramic over PPF is a complete waste of money. I did the non-PPF surfaces myself when I got home.

Very happy with the work Auto Armor did. One aspect I really enjoyed...they sent me time-lapse videos of the work being performed. Also a full exterior and interior walk-around video before they started the work.

Thank you, this is helpful. I ceramic coat for the depth in color (which has been noticable to me) and ease of maintenance, but agree that its not going to protect from a rock chips and scratch perspective.

Im familiar with Llumar products that your place uses. From an install perspective, i had webbing of my hood qothin a few weeks, have you noticed any areas of webbing or bubbling?

Thanks again!

I went with Icon Rocklear coating. It’s kind of a middle ground. Offers some scratch protection of ppf but they hydrophobic properties and shine of ceramic at the cost of a good ceramic coating job. $2,800 and it has a 15 year warranty.

I used ATD detailing in Raleigh, NC. Little drive for you. They use XPEL PPF. They did my Z06 last spring, once I drove back from NCM. $5000 and got track package PPF, CC rest of car, rims and calipers.

That doesnt sound bad at all and i have used xpel on my hellcat and liked it! May just be worth the drive depending on my quote!

were you pleased with their paint correction?

And, has there been any bubbling or webbing youve had to take it back for?

NO issues as to date. They want people to bring back car every year and they will look over. Little warranty service. You drop off car beginning of week and pick up end of week.
In my price I also tinted windows. The car is easy to clean. We took my wife's Mini back to them for PPF.

I am pleased with them and recommend them.

Thank you so much! I would look to tint as well. My z51 came tinted, but my z06 didnt for some reason

And the yearly check ins for warranty are reasonable for sure.

Thank you! I dropped my car off this morning and will let you know what my damage is here in Charlotte NC.
Im getting:
full front ppf (Kava by ceramic pro)
15% windows
70% windshield
Ceramic pro ion gold (lifetime pkg)
Full interior, all glass, wheels (including barrels/calipers)

They have also included this in their carfax reports for my other vehicles, so has yielded me roughly additional 3k on trades (if that matters to anyone)

Thanks again for everyone's support!

Please post pics when your Xpel install gets done, cant wait to see it shine!

Here in Orlando I had level 2 paint correction done (car had less than 100 miles so paint was in decent shape), full ceramic coating including wheels and calipers, track pack PPF including my exposed CF roof and rear spoiler and 20% ceramic tint on my side windows. Total cost was $4,300, which is likely below market but this was the third vehicle I have sent to this shop so he gave me a break on pricing. The company has almost 400 5 star Google reviews and are highly regarded here in Central Florida.

Tipping are you crazy…. I think it’s a way overpriced industry my self! I think my full vehicle Z07 was over $8k. No way I’m tipping..

When I had my museum delivery, I reached out to Auto Armor and their prices were just under going a price increase (by a lot). After shopping around, I'm glad i didn't end up going with them. I went somewhere local who Expel my whole car then ceramic coated on top of it for just under 9K (was roughly 1500 cheaper than Auto Armor). Could not have been more happier. For those who are looking to do PPF I would highly suggest doing your research like I did.

So yeah, for tipping, I find the guy who actually did the work and give them like $150…it is not much but it is the recognition…I agree about the market being over priced...

That makes sense. Thanks for everyone who chimed in. Ill throw in 200$ to the gent that makes the magic happen and build additional equity. To the prior point, this is the 10th vehicle i have done here, but also know that the owner is the one getting the lions share (also understanding he is taking on most risk).

Thanks again
