Have had my Z06 at the shop getting PPF/ceramic coating window tint, etc. the car has 5 miles on it, came off the car carrier and I drove it about 2 miles when they dropped it off, then it went right into the shop
While they were doing the work, they accidentally forgot the drivers side door was open and my batter died, they had to jump the car to get it started, no big deal, but now the engine light is on and I am seeing a bunch of "schedule service now" errors in the app. This isnt a fly by night shop, it was a mistake, they work on all manner of vehicles, GT3RS, they have a Maybach in there, a Shelby super snake mustang, etc. so they are used to handling higher end vehicles.
Car was fine until the battery died, but before I go having them clear the errors via ODB port, has anyone seen this before? Any advice? If the battery is now dead, I am happy to go buy a new one, in my 2023 C8, my battery died out after about 2 years, so I know the process to install the new one, not hard a tall.
I wouldn’t worry about it, if the battery is fully charged now you could always disconnect the battery wait a few and reconnect. Then drive the car for a 100 or so miles, if there are any CELs remaining take it back to the dealer…

Just all these errors are making me jumpy.
Why would you be “jumpy”? You took your car to an aftermarket shop, the guy making $15/hr was negligent, left the door open and ran down the battery. Then those hacks did what you SHOULD NOT do is jump the car. They should have put it on a battery charger and brought the battery to a full charge.
This is par for the course.

Not sure that makes a difference because if the car ever saw the low voltage, it triggers the codes and they don’t go away till reset.
Every time I had C8 family of cars get PPF, this happened. And I even gave them my battery tender to plug in at night. Still had the issue. But maybe it was still too flat when we tried to start it.
