Got a prompt to update my software for my MY2025 Z06, one interesting item in the patch notes aside from some lane keep enhancements was a note about enhanced performance of the audio system.
I always found that I had to EQ down the mid level by 2 settings and increase the treble by 2 levels. After this update they definitely changed the audio a little. I set the EQ flat again and the performance sounds now the same to me as my EQ pre update. Setting the EQ now makes it sound worse. They definitely "improved" something here. Anyone else have observations?
Didnt realize there was an update (or may not have reached mine yet), but as an audiophile, i hope there is improvement lol. My 25 HTC SR sounded way better than my 26 Coupe Z. May be acoustics with the cabin, but hoping this may be the "fix"
I have yet to receive any kind of notice for an update in my 2024 I bought new in March of that year. Is it a push notice or do I need to check someplace? I do not have a paid data plan.
You should have had at least 1 or more updates since 2024 and you don't need a data plan to get a software download. Go into Settings and look for an update selection. It should show tell you if the software is up to date and the last time it was updated in the history. I've read the latest update has improved check engine light operation and I had an O2 sensor light this Saturday, so I'm hoping the latest update prevents it from occurring again.
I’ve only driven my car for about five weeks total since purchasing it, with one of those weeks being after the valve body replacement.
Does the ECU typically require some driving time to adapt and recalibrate after a valve body replacement?
I updated the car’s software last night, and after driving it today, the gear shifts felt significantly smoother. The difference was noticeable, shockingly smooth for a dual-clutch transmission!
I’m wondering if this improvement is due to the ECU continuing to adapt, or if the software update may have affected transmission behavior, even though I didn’t see any notes mentioning transmission changes.

I don't think the notes mention that just the lane keep has been improved in certain situations and the audio.
Exactly, most of the update focused on the infotainment system. The smoother shifts are likely from the ECU adapting to the new valve body or the transmission breaking in. Either way, I’m extremely happy with it.
Mine finally said the update was ready this morning. It installed with no problems. I’d checked the info display a few times in the last week or two for the update, but apparently you can’t download on demand and just have to wait until it gets pushed.

I have had my 2026 since October and was able to perform an update a few weeks later. Now the update display is greyed out and won't come on. Did you have that problem or has your update menu always been lit? Thanks in advance.
Did the update today. I took it out and drove it afterwards and noticed nothing? Cranked the stereo for a while and it still sounds the same?
It sounds better and different to me, I had to flat out my EQ, but flattened out it sounds like if I had my EQ pre-update which sounds a lot better to me.

I think it said no update available after I clicked it until the update showed up on the main screen. I was hoping I could request it, but I don't notice any difference after the update in the audio operation. The reason I was looking for it is a check engine light related to an O2 sensor showed up and I was hoping the update would prevent it from occurring again. I'd think there would be more to this than audio improvements. At least it didn't break anything.
I went and checked the update status and it said last updated Feb 2023 (a month before I bought it new from a dealer) and that I am up to date. Is that possible? Not sure what I could be doing wrong...

Yesterday, I was finally was prompted by the car to install the update. It took 3 tries, but got it done!
