Looking at just the facts, I think it will.
The ZR1X got a 15k price increase for 27, likely to avoid an internal conflict with a ~160k Z06X.
Also, the track performance package is not available on the Grand Sport X, and when Tony Roma was asked about this, he replied "stay tuned".
I know they said no more models were coming, but I think they meant new names, like Zora for instance. The Z06X, if made, would be a new variant, not a model.
Also regardless of the car making sense or not, they would sell a BUNCH of them lol.

You could twist these words a little. No new models like the GS however the Z06 already exists so is the Z06X a "new" model or could they make it an option? Personally I think it's a no but GM can do whatever they want.

To all those who say you want a Z06X, would you still want it with Auto Stop/Start? The reason I ask is because that's what you would get.
I personally hate Auto Stop/Start and can't imagine that at every red light with the LT6.
