What are the thoughts-Pro's an Con's about installing a lower rear Diffuser. If you have purchased a Diffuser what was your choice and experience with the install.
Inquiring minds would like to know. Some look good and some look kinda quirky and do they add anything to the car other than looks.
My Viper SRT 10 has the Factory Diffuser and it looks great and is very functional and does not look like an ADD On.
Pro's - if you choose the "right" one, it will look cool and will jump your street cred up a couple of points. 5 point bonus if you go with exposed carbon fiber.
Con's - if you choose the "right" one, especially if you go with exposed carbon fiber, it will significantly lighten your wallet.
I am adding the RSC GTZ style diffuser to my bee-atch......
I am not a fan of them…mostly because the ones i have seen look too bulky and I have yet to see one that I really like…the one above is one of the better ones I have seen..
Edit: I just looked up the price and at $4K it better buy me breakfast in the morning…
I got the RSC one as it looks super cool and supposedly gives more downforce. On my track car. And then instantly fried the rear camera harness again due to heat buildup as it closes off the entire rear end. Not good. So it’s coming off and I am going back to stock.
I will probably put it on my street HTC as it will look great there, and the cooling is less important. But it sucked for my track car! Grrrr.
and yes, I also have the lower air vent scoops installed.
