Default Powerstops

Hello everyone. Just a fyi post. Replaced the factory pads yesterday with the Powerstop ceramic ones on my 2025 Z06.. After about 50 miles of driving there is
practically no dust and the car seems to stop just like it did before. I don't track the car so these pads should work perfectly. I also have a
2017 ZL1 Camaro that I did the same thing to back then that has never been a problem.

I have the dealer putting Powerstop on as I type. Looking forward to no brake dust.

It takes me longer to clean the rims than the entire car.

First thing I did when I purchased my stingray and when I purchased my Z06. Also put powerstop brakes on my truck.

I will put the stock pads on before I do any track-type event. Low dust is a trade off.

I think the two best “bang for the buck” changes/mods you can make is changing the pads on iron brakes to Carbotech/Powerstop pads and adding a throttle controller…below are the four I personally think are inexpensive, easy to do and make a difference...
  1. Changing Iron pads to ceramic pads
  2. Adding a Solar throttle controller
  3. EoS Splash Guards
  4. 20mm rear wheel spacers

Definitely not. I doubt anyone who tracks is really looking for low-dust pads.
