Default Throttle Response - Controller

The response is somewhat sluggish, lags under 5krpm. Pedal Commander seems to have good reputation. Have many tried on their z06?

That or Soler--they all do the same thing with different adjustments!

I am using the Banks Pedal Monster

https://bankspower.com/products/peda...nP59QBYkKaGjOE

The Corvette and Z06 are interchangeable. While the Soler works good and has the added benefit of locking the throttle to zero as a theft deterrent, I have found the Banks throttle response curves better in my view.

I had a Soler on a 23, with my 24 I have added the Mamo throttle bodies and the throttle response and of throttle is so go I don't see the need to put the Soler back on. Maybe I will see if there is even better benefit but the Mamo TBs are a great add.

Paragon also offers a OBDII Port Lock Anti Theft device for under $50. Would this be an add on to the Soler Throttle Controller or does the Soler Controller eliminate the need the Port Lock? Does anyone know?

Thanks,

Do you change the Soler when changing drive modes or just set it and forget it?

I installed the Soler performance module and love it. I also use the anti-theft feature. There are a tons of settings including OEM is you want the car to drive stock. I've currently settled on SP6 in all modes so far.
The throttle response is instant, so you'll have to get use to that in traffic, especially when taking off from a stand still. Also, during cruise, I noticed sometimes the car will have a slight surge every now and then. Figured it out to be user error. I would ever so slightly be tapping my foot maybe while listening to music or shifting slightly in my seat. It is very sensitive.

I personally just have it set to sport 7 and don’t touch it. I love that setting for my driving style. Find what you like, set it and forget it

I installed today, very surprised at the difference this made. Fine tuning is impressive.

Thank you for giving us a shot! We're glad to hear you're enjoying it so far. The ability to fine tune the response is what makes these controllers so much fun. Enjoy, and keep us posted on what settings you end up liking the most!

You may already know this, but phone app is a lot easier to use than the hardwired display. Also, you can change the mode while driving. The display doesn’t need to be attached once you have the phone app set up.

If you use the throttle lockout it will be more secure without the display visible.

Since poeple skirted your question ...
mike from Soler is on the thread and can correct me if im misstating anything:

My understanding is that they have 2 different mechanisms of action. Paragon takes the approach of locking the port so that someone cant clone your key signal (like the club used to do with the steering column), while the throttle controller would not allow for any "throttle input" (simulating 0% input re egardless of pedal position).

Hope this helps

I use them in all my cars….. and have for at least 10 years. I currently have Solar in my Eray, and ROAR pedal in the Z06 and my new Colorado ZR-2. The nice thing about ROAR is you can get it with a wireless controller….. or all Bluetooth…My ZR-2 has the wireless controller….. I never used it… I always just used Bluetooth…. So when I bought the C8Z I skipped the wireless controller and saved a bit of money. Bluetooth version is like $170 and Bluetooth and controller is like $200… you can find discounts online as well… It has the Anti theft feature as well…..

the throttle lockout works very well, valet mode is nice but I never valet.

For drive settings, I started out in sport range. To get the pedal feel I want in the turns, I ended up comfort 7. Was great to be able to adjust on the column to get the feel I wanted. I also really like the size and design, Soler did a fantastic job. This feels like a different car in the freeway, super responsive.

‘Using the Soler app you can set the throttle controller and lock out the pedal on the car. Let’s say the car is running, you can push or step on the pedal all you want and there is no throttle response. The car may creep along, but not be able to just drive as normal.

Thanks for the feedback! We're glad you're enjoying the controller and that you were able to dial in the exact pedal feel you were looking for. Comfort 7 is a popular setting for customers who want improved responsiveness without being overly aggressive. Enjoy the car, and thank you for the kind words about the design and functionality!

My Review:

I installed the Soler Throttle controller on my 26 Z06 yesterday and I am AMAZED at the difference in the low-end speed/torque improvement. It is way more responsive! I plan on leaving it set to Sport 7 for everyday use.

It was easy to install. I am NOT mechanically inclined, and the only real issue was working in the tight space under the dash. One thing of note is the 2026 Z has a more continuous leather panel under the center console than C8 models built before 2026 and that makes it impossible to run the hardwire for the display into the glove box. The panel now runs under the whole center console to the back wall. On older models it has a break right before the glove box and it allows you to run the wire hidden into the glove box. So, I had to hide the wire under that panel until I was right under the glove box latch and then pop it out and run it along the latch assembly.... i.e. a small part of the wire is exposed now.

I found that after my test run, the car seemed to run hotter and therefore required the radiator fans to run for a while after shutting down, whereas, before soler, that likely would not have happened based on the type of driving I did. However, this makes total sense to me, and I don't see it as a problem. Just good to know.

I did NOT know that you could remove the hardwired display from inside the car and JUST use the phone app. That is great news as I was wondering, while in lock mode, how having the display somewhere in the vehicle would be much of an anti-theft deterrent if the hard wire display was found inside the car by a would-be thief? Again, removing the display makes it a much better theft deterrent. This likely will allow me to just tuck the hard wire display completely under the side leather panel and just pull the wire out it out if needed (if my phone is not with me or something).

Lastly, I was a bit surprised that in lock mode the car could be put into drive or reverse and it would idle forward or back. No one ever says that in the reviews, and I think that would be helpful info to know. It's not really an issue, in my opinion, as it would just result and a hilarious slow speed chase by the police or by me on foot.... LOL

Great product and I highly recommend it.
