What would you do?
I was thinking exactly what you said … sell the z06 get the GT3 at MSRP in a year or 2 get the the z06 or the ZR1 but I’m more of a NA guy so probably the z06
and sometimes I say it doesn’t make sense selling and buying again maybe keep both and manage the financials
I thought I would love to have them both but it really isnt that great.

using my brain: it doesn’t make sense owning 2
using my heart and emotions: keep them both
I know myself I’m the end I’ll follow my brain

Regarding the GT3 vs Z06 debate, a lot of good points above - particularly related to the fact that you can essentially drive a GT3 for free, sell it later for what you paid or more and then get into a Z06 - there's a lot to be said for that. I've driven an 992 GT3RS and while it's a very cool car it didn't feel like nearly as much of an "occasion" as driving my Z06. I haven't been into GT3's since the 997 3RS...now THAT is a special car worth owning.
I also heavily track mine and there's the thought of "if you're going to put your car at risk on track, a $130K Z06 vs. a $300-$400K 3RS is a very different equation".
Agree on the distinction between a GT3 and a GT3RS is important - a GT3 Touring doesn't do much for me.
I own more than one sports car and absolutely enjoy it. Each of them has a particular driving characteristic that I enjoy. My German toys feel and drive differently and evoke a different emotion in me than my American toys, likewise for the American toys. But each has something that I can only get from that particular car. So, yes, if it's a possibility for both, do both. A 992.2 GT3 is a different car, and vice versa with the Z06 (which I don't own...yet). But I am sure their driving characteristics are different.
I mean, are we really discussing what is rational in a sports car forum??? lol..really?
This is a passion-driven hobby. At least it is for me. NONE of this is what I need. It's all....
