Default Drag Pack

I’m looking at getting a drag pack for my C8Z; set of skinnies and probably welds for the rear for the drag strip. Just wanted to see what kind and size any C8Z owners are running and what you like tires wise too? I believe I read 18in would be smallest size we can go right? Ideally I’ll just be throwing these on at the track or throwing on before driving a few miles to the track. Maybe a little street driving here and there. Wheels and tires, thoughts?

Here’s a quick video of my Z06 with 18” drag pack. Had them on my 2023 Stingray as well.
A few years ago there weren’t any 18” wheels out that fit à Z06 so I swapped calipers and rotors to get them to fit

nice! I saw these welds are in 18in now. So I assume the 18x5 and 18x12 will fit now without issue or modification?

I haven’t checked recently but they are 18x12 & 18x5’s. I had to use rear wheel spacers as they were for a Stingray. Like I said I had to remove my Steel stock rotors and calipers but maybe they offer them for the Z06 now.
I stay with Hoosiers rears as they are very light vs others

Thanks for the info. I sent a message to Weld to figure out what may or may not work. Ideally, I’d like to do 18x5 and 18x12, but I’m afraid on the carbon ceramic break clearance. So I’ll see what Weld says!

better pack a parachute with a dragpack if you wanna run it hard on the street

why? Bc 80% of your braking is done on the front brakes and most importantly tires

skinny tires up front cant generate the braking forces needed to brake hard on the street

With CCB you cannot fit an 18" wheel in the back without machining the calipers or swapping to other brakes. A19x12 wheel will clear and you can pair it with a MT 325/30r19 drag radial.
As for the front Billet Specialites make an 18x5 skinny that will bolt up right up.

thank you! I thought that might be the case. Does billet make an 18x5 and 19x12 set?

I guess I could just get a weld set for 18x5 and 19x12.

For a matching rear wheel they only offer 20”
I’m not sure about Weld but their wheels will be heavier if I’m not mistaken.

I’ll check them out; I’d like to run a 335 Hoosier or MT if I can too.
